Just perfect for everything :-) Diving, camping, eating, barbecuing, clear views, good visibility, dogs allowed, playground and much more... we love it there.

Beautiful trout, perches that are hunting, eels at night, plant life growing, beautiful steep walls, but also very good entrances.

Haven't we all unintentionally been underwater alone - not diving solo. How often has your buddy been out of reach or you've been so distracted while taking photos that you've lost your buddy? Although normally diving with a buddy team partner, there may be reasons why experienced divers choose to dive solo (e.g. underwater photography). It is more common to be involuntarily separated from your buddy while diving. During the SSI Independent Diver course you will learn about the potential risks of solo diving and develop the necessary skills and abilities to dive independently, responsibly, autonomously and safely, while becoming a stronger buddy partner or team member on your dives. You will practise how to help yourself in different situations and learn how to adjust and check your equipment for solo dives. you can find more information on our website or simply give us a call without obligation. At the entrance 4B is a slightly sloping shore. At about 8m depth you will find the first car wrecks. If you dive after about 5 minutes over a plateau, you reach a break-off edge, which reaches to approx. 35m depth. Right hand along the edge is the wreck Hemmoor at about 17m.

The Chalk Lake has an area of 33 hectares and is 60 meters deep. During longer periods of good weather, visibility can rise up to 25 meters, thus creating an optimal dive location.

The chalk lake, artificially created by opencast mining, has an area of 33 hectares and a maximum depth of 60 meters. Visibility of up to 25 meters is possible under favorable conditions (longer dry periods). Lots of abandoned mining gear and items sunk especially for divers.

Kreide-See is a well known and popular diving lake. In former times chalk was mined here. The roads, the vibrator, trucks, conveyor belts, and some machines that were needed for the mining can still be visited underwater.

From the entrance on the left, a steep wall worth seeing goes down to the bottom of the lake at approx. 55m, a little further on, from 35m downwards, scrawny little trees stand close together, the so-called "male forest". To the right of the entrance is the former fish farm, since 2021 diving is allowed.
