Medfish Deep OW - 70m

This is the deepest freediving spot of Medfish on the Northern Bodrum peninsula. It takes around 20 minutes by boat and needs careful planning to catch a nice and calm day. Usually early in the mornings is best for diving. Visibility: 35m Current: None Swell: Medium

Bottlenose dolphin encounters are possible at this spot.

Blue Tunnel is in Sarigerme. Known as within top 3 dive site here in Turkey. Entrance is about 8 metres and there are two atrium. Once you exit other side of the Blue Tunnel open sea will welcome you with a wall dive. From A to A point this will be a big circle and ending the dive at the boat

Kargı Island (★4.5)

Kargı Island is 50 min away and to the west of Bodrum, close to Akyarlar. The island is between Cos Island and Bodrum peninsula. Mostly there is a strong current, but this also brings rich wildlife to the dive site. Suitable for experienced divers only. The deep and strenuous conditions may be challenging.

Yassı Kaya (★4.5)

On the south side of Black island, towards Datça there is a small rock in the open sea. There are strong currents and mostly windy. West side is more suitable for diving. There is a memorial statue of late businessman Mustafa Koç and the seal named Badem rehabiltated with his support.

Aksona Bay (★4.8)

This site took its name from a famous sponge hunter “Aksona Mehmet” of Bodrum. It takes about 50 minutes by boat and is for advanced and open water divers. It starts at 3 meters and then goes down to 30-35 meters.

This dive site is popular with those who like to do deep and drop-off dives. The site is between Pınar-1 wreck and Poyraz Bay. It is usually windy and choppy. The dive site has a drop-off first down to 17 m then to 45+ m.

Poyraz Koyu (★4.6)

Poyraz Koyu is located on the back of the Black Island and takes about 45 minutes by boat. Poyraz means Northeast wind in Turkish. Following the right side, a nice slope brings you down to the first rocky reef at 16 m.

South Point (★4.6)

On the south end of the Black Island, a very protected bay is popular for divers. Three different dive options. Left side is good for OW & AOW divers. Right side is good for entry level divers. Inside the bay a very shallow sandy bottom is ideal for training. Only bad when south wind is blowing. Boat traffic!

Orak Adası (★4.6)

Orak Island is 2 hrs from Bodrum and is very famous for its deep walls. Good for all levels as well as eXtended Range dives. Another dive spot around the island is the Orak reef. Also very rich in aquatic life.

TCG Pinar-1 (Wreck) (★4.5)

The TCG Pinar 1 was a Navy Coastguard water carrying ship. It has been sunk by BOSAD (Bodrum Sualtı Derneği) in May 2007 to create an artificial reef for divers. It has a length of 37m and 7m width. The stern lies at 20m and descends to around 30m.

Bubble Cave (★4.4)

This site is on the back of the Black Island at a depth of 12 meters. The cave is full of wreckfish and tubeworms. There is light in the cave. However, do not forget your torch for a better view. One by one, swim up the chimney and be careful not to kick the sponges. It is easy to see many kinds of fragile corals.

Neco Bay (★4.8)

This bay is a calm, small bay and a good place to hide from southern winds and waves. Left side of the bay is rocky and shallow. Good for try scuba and entry level divers. This wall then drops down to 30-35m to reach to a sandy plateau. Keep wall on your left side and continue your diving. Minimum current.

Smuggler’s Cove (★4.3)

Smuggler’s Bay is famous since Ottoman Times and used by drug smugglers from Greek islands. The bay makes a deep cut on the island’s profile and it is very hard to see the bay from distance. There is also a very long and winding underwater cave system with an entrance right below the sea level.

C47 Dakota UÇAK BATIĞI (★4.5)

C-47 Dakota is a military plane wreck with a length of 20m and wing width of 30m. It was sunk by BOSAD in 2007. Its depth starts at 19m and descends to 33m. In 2010 the wreck was broken into two pieces and the body/tail part drifted deeper. The left engine was also broken as she was moving.

SG115 Coast Guard Wreck (★4.6)

SG 115 is an old coast guard ship that was sunk by BOSAD in 2007 to be an artificial reef around Black Island. After leaving the rocky coastline, across the Neptune grass, SG 115 looms in the distance. The stern is at 17 m deep and the bow is at 26m.

Fridge Bodrum (★4.5)

Fridge Bay has two dive sites to visit; one is left of the bay and has a smooth sloping topography. The other site is only for advanced divers as reaches depths of 18 to 30 meters. You need an experienced dive leader to find this spot since it is in the middle of the bay, surrounded by seagrass.

Kurt Burnu Wolf's Point (★4.4)

An ideal point for both advanced divers, open water divers, and beginners. It is 15 minutes journey to reach there by boat. Rock formations start from 3 meters and gradually go down to 35-40 meters. At this site you may expect to see scorpeon fish, groupers, a car wreck! and lots of broken amphora.

Black Island Lighthouse (★4.3)

Black Island Lighthouse is on the north-west point of the island. It is a calm, small bay and good for southernly winds. A large sandy bottom is good for confined water training. There are slopy rocks on each side of the bay and reaches down to 40m+. Good for OW and AOW divers. Rich marine life.

Fener Altı (★4.8)

Fener Alti is at the northwest corner of the Black Island. It is a 20-minute journey to reach by boat. An ideal point for both advanced divers, open water divers, and beginners. The rock formations start from 5 meters and goes down to 20 meters.

Big Reef (★4.6)

The most beautiful and fascinating dive site in Bodrum. Big Reef has all the diving opportunities in it. The depth starts at 7m (25 ft). Divers can use the anchor chain for an easy descent to the top of the reef. lt has a wall that faces Black Island and drops straight down from 7 meters to 34 meters.

Small Reef (★4.5)

Small Reef lays 200 meters from the Big Reef towards Bodrum. Lots of fish are here waiting to be seen. The depth starts at 5m (15 ft) to 26m (78ft). This site is 15 min. from the harbor by dive boat.
