Olho Azul (Blue Eye) Cave, Sal
Known locally as Buracona and Olho d’Água, it is located on the west coast of Sal Island, north of Palmeira. It is an underwater cave that extends into the interior of the cliff and ends in an oval pit with a sandy bottom. When the sun is at its zenith, its reflection on the sandy bottom resembles a blue eye.
