S/S Hindenburg was a German icebreaker of the Imperial Navy. On the morning of March 9, 1918, Hindenburg led a convoy of German cruisers. Shortly after setting sail from Kärringsund in Eckerö, the calm was broken by a powerful explosion. The ship stopped, a frozen floating mine had blown a large hole in the bow.

A lot of details on this wreck and among them three machine telegraphs. There is only a limited numbers of dives alowed here each year
