Saki-Motobu
Sakihonbu (Gorilla Chop) in Motobu, Okinawa, features rock formations resembling a gorilla chop. With shallow 10m depths, it’s perfect for beginners and experience dives. White sand and soft corals host diverse fish and bear clams. Sheltered from northerly winds, it offers year-round calm diving.
Sakihonbu hosts clownfish, spiny dogfish, symbiotic gobies, yibarakanzashi, kanzashi hermit crabs, and winter schools of mijun and Formosan landlocked salmon.
