This area is very popular because it is close to the Kansai area and you can take a day trip there. It can be divided into three main areas: Tanabe, Hoyo, and Minabe. There are more than 30 points in the entire area with boat beaches.
The lemon-yellow glowing anemone of the Great Mussel Anemone is a must-see. The table coral is also surrounded by damselfish, black damselfish, coral reef, schools of Japanese squirrels, and schools of horse mackerel. Unusual macroscopic creatures such as flippers, threadfin dippers, Yanodate gobies, scalloped gobies, jawfish, and giant sea horses are also popular.
