Tanegashima Island

This island is located about 100 km south of Kagoshima and is famous for its space center where rockets are launched. It is also a mecca for surfing. It can be reached from Kagoshima in about 30 minutes by plane or 1 hour and 30 minutes by high-speed boat.

There is a lot of eddy coral and a lot of life around it. There are also schools of striped Jacks, Red Flounder, Yellow Snappers, South Pacific Snappers, Sea Anglers, Joe Fish, and Stingrays in the sandy area. In the rocky areas, you can see yellowtail, yellowtail, Asian red snapper, yellowtail, and angelfish. There are also dynamic points where you can see eagle rays and sea turtles.
