The 196-foot/60m-long steel car and passenger ferry The Straits of Mackinac, was scuttled in 78 feet/24m of water, April 10, 2003. The ship is located approximately 10 miles north of Navy Pier.
As with most shipwreck dives in Lake Michigan you are not likely to see much marine life and the bottom is sand and muck.
