Thumba Caves

Prisca Head (★4.1)

Located on the south east end of Maabadhifaru. Just a 20 minutes boat ride to the south. There is a shallow top reef on 4 Meters, falling down in a slope to a very wide plateau on 30 meters.

Prisca Corner (★4.3)

Located on the north east end of Maabadhifaru. A 15 minutes boat ride from Joy to the south. Starting the dive inside, several Overhangs even with a swim trough can be discovered. The slope becomes steeper towards the Corner.

Madivaru Beyru (★4.6)

Starting the dive at 6 m on the top reef, you’ll find a lot of interesting coral formations. It is a large sandy bay, starting at 16 m and dropping down towards the reef where resting sharks and stingrays like to stay.

Snapper point (★4.7)

This Dive Site located East side of Kassanfaru Corner. Fifteen minutes boat trip. there are several coral blocks start from 5m to 20m. Reef look like nice Gentle slop.

Anniela Thila (★4.2)

Located at a inside Atoll reef 30 minutes north – east of Joy Island. The wall starting from a shallow 4 meters top reef and falling vertical or even as an overhang down to 25m, to 30m.where you can find Coral Blocks, and Halimeda Ghost pipefish. A very good place for a Night Dive.

Coral Garden (★4.8)

Fifteen minutes by boat from the Joy Island. Beautiful coral reef start from 4m on the top reef. full of table corals reef. the side of the coral garden is like a wall with beautiful caves.

Kassanfaru Corner (★4.4)

Dive site located North East. 15 Minutes from the Joy Island. Usually a drift dive following the contour of the reef. If the current is slow, more time can be spent exploring the rocks (cleaning station).

Scubapro

Kassanfaru Beyru (★4.4)

It is a drift dive done along the outer reef. Depending on the speed and direction of the current, the dive can be ended or started at Kassanfaru Corner.

Joy Island House Reef (★4.0)

Five Minutes by boat from the Joy island. some areas like a drop off but mainly its like a gently slop. Healthy corals around starting from 2m to 18m. this dive site is especially for beginners.

Holhi Wall (★4.3)

Located at a inside reef 15 minutes north – east of Joy Island. The wall starting from a shallow 3 meters top reef and falling vertical or even as an overhang down to 25m, where you can find several Coral Blocks. Its also a very nice dive site for the night dive.

Wall Reef (★4.3)

Located 15 minutes north – east of Joy Island. The wall is at the west part of the dive site and starting from a shallow 2 meters top reef and falling down to 25m. The east part of the dive site is a slop with several coral blocks.

Joy Outside (★4.7)

Located outside of Kassan Faru (Joy Reef), a 10 minutes boat trip away from Joy. The shallow part is around 4 meters deep and full of life. A gentle slop is falling down to 30 meters deep short plateau

Kaan Reef (★4.6)

Five minutes from the Joy island. A perfect corner of the long reef. it can be a nice drift dive with out going and in coming current. Beautiful pinnacles between 20 to 30m including the caves.

Joy Corner (★4.9)

Our “House Reef” at the North outside Corner of the island. A short 5 minutes boat ride away. The top reef starts on shallow 3 meters with a gentle slop to 30m. in direction south the slop change to an overhang where we can discover de Joy Cave on 20 m.

Miyaru Thila (★4.4)

Our “house Thila” is located just a 5 minutes boat ride to north, in the middle of a wide Channel. The top of the Thila is 8m below the surface. In the east a sandy slop is falling down to 30 meters the north and the south corner have overhangs and reef blocks on 25 meters. The Thila is exposed to current.

Summer Island House Reef (Blue Lagoon) (★4.5)

From 4 down to 25 meters along the sloping sandy bottom just in front of the Summer Island jetty we have built and amazing coral nursery. Here the corals are grown on the ropes and replanted on the stable concrete and steel formations.

Bodu Loa (★5.0)

Inner reef with a beautiful steep coral wall and a shallow sandy lagoon offerd great dives for everyone from begonners to advanced divers. Lots of coral blocks full of sweepers below 18 meters.

Makunudu Plateau (★4.6)

Makundu Plateau is located at the south-eastern tip of the long reef near Makunudu Island. The Plateau itself is a shallow coral garden, 5-12 meters, with amazing coral hills and towers.

Manta Bay (★4.3)

The bay is the west end of Dhiya Adi Faru (Low Tide Reef). We can reach that place in 25 minutes. The U shape of the Bay and the two small Thilas in the middle are the perfect trap for Plankton in outgoing Current. The reason why Mantas love to feed on that place. Current can be medium to strong.

Amra (★4.6)

Is located at the north west end of Dhiya Adi Faru (Low Tide Reef). The reef did form a finger out in the channel. Starting from 7m falling down to a saddle on 15m where we find a crack in the reef. In the front of the finger are several blocks and overhangs between 20 to 30 meters.

Manta Point Dhiya Adi Faru (★4.7)

The Cleaning station is located in a sandy bay at Dhiya Adi Faru (Low Tide Reef). The Sandy floor around the Cleaning Station is 12 meters deep which makes this dive to a shallow dive but the current can be strong. The boat ride will take 20 minutes.

Kuda Faru (★4.5)

Finger Point also known as Kuda faru, the divesite is located in the channel of Makunudhoo, a few kilometers northwest of the island that shares the same name. The northern reef of the channel presents an interesting outgrowth, which looks like a pinnacle (Thila), has a top reef at 12m and is connected to the main reef.
