Z2 George Thiele took part in both battles of Narvik on April 9th and 13th 1940. During the second battle Thiele protected 4 damaged german destroyers before running aground in the Rombak fjord. Thiele is visible on the surface and the stern rest at 52 meters depth.
The visibility is usually very good below 20 meters and the wreck has a lot of details to look at. A good way to dive the wreck is to start deep and slowly go up along the wreck.
