At the end of the dam, however, you get a beautiful steep wall that runs out into one of the deeper places of the Oosterschelde. On the left side of the dam lies a small wreck at a depth of 12 meters. There is not much to recognize anymore but it is nicely overgrown. Zuidbout is not a suitable place for beginners.
The large blocks are beautifully overgrown by mainly bread and antler sponge. Between the large blocks are many small spaces where crabs, crayfish and small fish hide.
