Dive Guide / Divemaster

This program gives you the skills and experience required to safely lead groups of certified divers, and is the first step towards an exciting career as an SSI Dive Professional without requiring you to complete an instructor program. Professional Divemasters can work for SSI Dive Centers, guiding dives in a variety of environments and conditions. You will earn the SSI Dive Guide certification after completing this program. Once you have been certified in the Science of Diving Course, completed the appropriate SSI Professional forms and paid your SSI Professional Fees for the year, you will automatically be certified as a Divemaster This course is offered at both the Non-Professional level. As a non-professional dive guide you will be certified to lead family and friends but not work as a dive guide. If you choose to become a Divemaster, the professional Divemaster level enables you to work as a dive professional leading certified divers from around the world. Once certified as a professional dive guide, you can also qualify to teach the SSI Ecology Courses.
