Dive Guide / Divemaster

The SSI Dive Guide course is the first professional-level certification in the SSI Dive Professional pathway. It prepares experienced divers to lead and supervise certified divers in a variety of open water environments. During the course, candidates develop advanced dive theory knowledge, leadership skills, and practical experience in dive planning, site management, group control, and risk assessment. Training focuses on conducting thorough dive briefings, guiding dives safely, managing emergencies, and enhancing customer experience while maintaining SSI standards. Dive Guide candidates refine their navigation skills, environmental awareness, and problem-solving abilities through practical training and real-world scenarios. Upon certification, SSI Dive Guides are qualified to guide certified divers, assist instructors with training programs, and work as dive professionals within SSI Dive Centers worldwide.
