The SSI Divemaster level recognizes candidates who have the knowledge and training to perform the duties of a certified assistant. Duties include assisting SSI instructors in the conduct of entry-level and continuing education courses. Assist on open water training dives by accompanying no more than two (2) students at a time on underwater excursions. Qualify as a Training Specialist for the SSI Ecology Specialty programs.
