The SSI Dive Guide program teaches divers the skills needed to safely lead other divers on dives.
The Dive Guide training is the first step on the path to becoming a professional dive instructor.
During the training, participants learn how to plan and organize dives, use and maintain diving equipment properly, explore dive sites, and ensure the safety of divers.
They also learn how to evaluate and improve the diving techniques and skills of other divers.
The Dive Guide training program includes theoretical lessons, practical exercises in the pool or confined open water, and open-water dives.
Participants must meet certain requirements to complete the training and receive the Dive Guide certification. Upon completion of the training, Dive Guides can assist dive instructors in conducting courses, organize and lead dives for certified divers, and guide divers to dive sites.
You can also work as an assistant on diving trips or at dive centers. The Dive Guide course is a great opportunity for divers to expand their skills, enhance their diving experience, and share their passion for diving with others.
The Divemaster is a certification program
To earn the Divemaster certification, you must be an active Dive Guide and have completed the Science of Diving course.
