In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. This course is made up of two elements. You will be required to complete the associated eLearning material, as well as attend a practical application session at Libertas Scuba Stirling. The practical application session will involve: analysing a cylinder, obtaining safe Nitrox fills, filling in Nitrox paperwork, and the planning of Nitrox Dives. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 40% certification. For an additional fee, you will be able to participate in two, guided, Nitrox Dives with Libertas Scuba Stirling.

You will try Deep Diving and Navigation plus a variety of 3 more specialty areas of choice before committing to full specialty training. During the Advanced Open Water Diver Program, you will experience 5 different specialties by completing one open water training dive per specialty after a comprehensive briefing with your SSI Instructor. By taking this program you will have total freedom to explore. You can complete the full Specialty trainings any time in the future and credit your Advanced Open Water Diver training towards them. As we use dry suits for teaching in the UK, due to the climate, please inform us at registration if you do not already possess the SSI Dry Suit Diver certification. Using online learning, confined and open water dives, the SSI Scuba Diver program is a perfect foundation to become a confident and safe diver. You will learn all you need to scuba dive in open water up to 12 meters deep with an SSI Professional. In this program, you will complete almost half of the Open Water Diver course training and can upgrade your certification easily. You just need to complete the remaining academic and confined water sessions, plus two open water training dives. Included in the price is a 4-hour pool session, with one of our highly experienced instructors, that covers: Equipment introduction, dry skills, and the underwater skills required to become a certified SSI Scuba Diver. You will also receive all the eLearning material necessary to complete the SSI Scuba Diver Course. As we use drysuits for teaching in the UK, due to the climate, this pool session also covers the skills necessary to use a drysuit.
