Created in 1997 when a quarry was flooded, this enchanting body of water—covered by a turquoise surface—has become a veritable cult destination among many divers in Poland and abroad. According to many experts, the “Koparki” Diving Marina, alongside “Hańcza” in the Suwałki region, is one of the most interesting dive sites of its kind in Poland. The bottom of the reservoir is flat, and its depth ranges from 10 to 15 meters. As a result, the “Koparki” body of water is perfectly suited for conducting various types of diving training, and its bottom—rich in underwater attractions—presents an intriguing challenge for diving enthusiasts. Our underwater attractions, such as excavators and huge buckets, are specially marked. Access to the water is possible via ladders attached to the shore and three piers with floating platforms submerged at a depth of 5 meters, which are used for practice and training. It’s worth noting that entering the water may pose some difficulty for beginner divers, as it takes place in an area where the water depth reaches 12–14 meters. As a nitrox diver, you will lengthen your bottom times and increase your safety margin on challenging dives. In addition, you'll shorten surface breaks - so you can spend more time diving, not waiting! In this course, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge by learning about safe dive planning and performing dives with oxygen-enriched air up to 40% oxygen content. Upon completion of the course, you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% Specialty Certificate. Nitrox (nitrox) - an oxygen-nitrogen mixture containing more than 21% oxygen. Reducing the amount of nitrogen in the mixture improves its properties for dives up to 40m. As a breathing medium, it is safer than air provided certain rules are followed.
