In this specialty program, you will gain the advanced skills and knowledge you need to safely and confidently navigate underwater. You will learn how to use a compass and natural navigation techniques, estimate distance, how to leave and return to a designated point, plus basic navigation patterns. You will also be taught how to combine navigation techniques to enhance your diving experience. All of which hones your underwater observation skills, improves your dive safety and helps you to get the most out of every dive. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Navigation Specialty certification. Equipment needed for class: BCD, Regulator Set, Mask, Fins, Boots, DSMB, Computer, Wetsuit, Compass, and weights. Participant is responsible for entry fees and air. We do rent BCDs, Regulator sets, Wetsuits, and Computers. Call our shop to rent gear.

Deep Diving

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will teach you all you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, through a mixture of academic sessions and open water dives. This class is held on the Beaufort, NC trip and classes offered during this trip are Boat, Deep, Wreck, and Advanced Wreck. This is a 2 day class. The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will teach you all you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters, through a mixture of academic sessions and open water dives. You will learn to plan and safely complete your deep diving adventures and use computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most from your deep dives. Are you ready to become a deep diver and explore deeper wrecks, coral-encrusted walls, reefs and more? Many exciting dive sites lie in deep waters and the SSI Deep Diver Course will teach you how to get there – safely and with confidence. You will learn how to plan and conduct dives to between 60 and 130 feet deep and earn your SSI Deep Diving Specialty certification. Required Equipment for class: BCD(Buoyancy Control Device, Regulator Set consisting of a 1st Stage, Primary Air Supply 2nd stage, Alternate Air Supply Octopus, Submersible Pressure Gauge(SPG) showing air remaining in tank, all hoses to hook to 1st stage. A computer that measures depth and dive time, weight bag, weights, boots, Mask, fins, snorkel, DSMB, gear bag, antifog, 2 double enders hardware to attach hoses, octo holder, DSMB with spool or reel (Minimum 150’), Slate or Wetnotes Included: SSI Online Deep Diver course, classroom and in-water instruction, certification fees & digital certification card Not included: Rental equipment, air or NITROX fills, entrance or charter fees This class will require the following training components: 1 Online course 1 Classroom session 3 Deep dives (1 deeper then 60 feet, 1 deeper then 80 feet, 1 deeper then 100 feet.  Maximum depth 130feet. React Right - Course Combination (FA, CPR, AED, O2)

Become a certified React Right Specialty diver React Right is SSI’s emergency first response course and provides you with the training and knowledge you need to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible dive program, you can choose which subjects you want to learn about, including primary assessment, first aid, CPR and primary stabilization techniques. You can also learn about oxygen administration in diving emergencies and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) basics. Using a combination of academic sessions and practical training scenarios, this program will give you the tools and confidence you need for emergency response. By the time you are certified, you will be able to act as an emergency first responder, provide first aid and CPR, administer oxygen and provide AED support in a medical emergency. Earn your SSI React Right specialty certification. Get started today! This class is needed prior to SSI Stress & Rescue certification. In the warmer months this class is scheduled on a Friday prior to the 2 day SSI Stress & Rescue Class. Equipment needed for class:  CPR Rescue Mask with O2 inlet, which can be purchased at our shop. We suggest you purchase the Rescue First Aid Kit that we have at the shop for during and after class, so that you have a kit to use when the need arises. April 18 & 19, 2026 Open Water Diver-Classroom & Confined Water

This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification. Sessions as follows: 1st day 11:00am-1pm classroom break for lunch 2pm-5pm Confined Water, 2nd day 2pm-5pm Confined water, 3rd day 8am-4pm Open Water Lake Phoenix Scuba Park(unless otherwise noted) 4th day 8am-2pm Open Water Lake Phoenix April 18 &19, 2026 Referral Open Water Diver includes e-learning and confined water so you can complete your Open water dives when it is warmer or on a trip. You can also take your Nitrox e-learning and classroom portion on 4/19 from 10:30am-1pm and once you have completed your Open Water Certification we can certify your Nitrox Certification. You will need to purchase Fins, Boots, Mask, Snorkel, Antifog, and DSMB(safety Device) for this class. Price for class $995. You can break this up and pay $695 for e-learning, classroom, and confined water and become a referral diver so you can dive in the pool with a certified diver, until it gets warmer and then pay $300 to complete your open water dives and become Open Water certified.
