This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification. Sessions as follows: 1st day 10:00am-12:30pm classroom break for lunch 1:30pm-5pm Confined Water, 2nd day 1:30pm-5pm Confined water, You can become an Open Water referral diver and dive in our pool with a certified diver until it is warmer or we have a CocoView trip 2/27-3/6/27 where you can do your Open Water Dives February 20, 21, 2027 Referral Open Water Diver includes e-learning and confined water so you can complete your Open water dives You can also take your Nitrox e-learning and classroom portion on 2/20 from 10:00am-12:30pm and once you have completed your Open Water Certification we can certify your Nitrox Certification. SSI Enriched Air Nitrox Course The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox Course course is the most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air NITROX gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don’t hesitate to become an enriched air diver. Class includes the Enriched Air NITROX online course, classroom instruction and certification card.You can sign up for Enriched Nitrox certification any day of the year. Once you are registered, complete your e-learning, and sign off on your paperwork you will be certified for up to 32% Enriched Nitrox mixture. Schedule a time to come into our shop and we will show you the practical application portion and your certification will allow you to use up to 40% Enriched Nitrox.Important Registration Information: · If you are not already registered with SSI please go to https://my.divessi.com/register and create a FREE mySSI account. The SSI Perfect Buoyancy specialty is the best way to improve your buoyancy and get the most from every dive. Buoyancy is an essential dive skill, but any diver will tell you it takes time to perfect. The Perfect Buoyancy specialty will teach you advanced buoyancy skills and techniques, so you can master your buoyancy more quickly and enjoy more relaxed dive adventures. In this fascinating program, you will also learn new skills that protect the environment and work in every diving situation. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. Monthly dive club meeting meets the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Social gathering from 6:30-7pm and meeting runs from 7pm-8pm. Meetings consists of guest speakers, dive community upcoming events, as well as seminars. Meeting is held at Dante's Pizza, located at 2900 Cedar Lane Colonial Heights, VA 23834 There is never a cost to attend.

Drysuit diving opens up a world of opportunities, including diving remote Arctic destinations and exploring cold-water dive sites teeming with life. Dry suit diving also keeps you warm on multi-dive days when you do not want to spend your time getting in and out of a cold wetsuit. The SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty program is the best way to become a dry suit diver and teaches you all the knowledge and techniques you need to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit. You will learn how to use specialized equipment, like dry suits and BCs, the benefits of dry suits and how to deal with dry suit emergencies – which are unique to this type of diving. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty certification.Class is held at Lake Phoenix Scuba Park.  Class starts at 9am during the weekdays and 8am on weekends.

The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for diving by taking the Divemaster program. All you need to get started are 40 verified/logged dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dives experience in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. You will be certified as a Dive Guide after successfully completing the Divemaster program. When your interest is to turn your passion into a profession by guiding certified divers, teaching Ecology programs, assisting instructors or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is the Divemaster Upgrade with a minimum of 60 logged/verified. Upgrade to Divemaster right away or any time after by self-studying the Science of Diving materials, passing the Digital Final Exam which makes you an SSI Professional.
