The SSI Advanced Wreck Diving program provides divers with the necessary training to independently plan and conduct limited penetration, no-decompression dives within the sunlight area, to a maximum depth of 30 meters or a linear distance of 40 meters, and using procedures and equipment for overhead environments, with a buddy of equal or greater qualification.
To advance from the SSI Wreck Diving certification to the SSI Advanced Wreck Diving certification, the student must:
- Complete at least one (1) shore session as outlined in the Wreck Diving program instructor manual.
- Complete at least two (2) additional open water training dives, including all skills listed in Open Water Training Dives 3 and 4 of the Wreck Diving Instructor Manual.
