The crossover (onboarding to SSI) begins with participation in the combination Assistant Instructor / Instructor Training Course, accompanied by Digital Learning. After successfully completing the Instructor Training Course (ITC), you will participate in an Instructor Evaluation (IE) to qualify as an SSI Open Water Instructor. This 10-day training entitles you to independently teach various SSI key programs such as Scuba Diver, Open Water Diver, Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress & Rescue and Dive Guide. If you want to take more time to learn and gain valuable teaching experience between the training courses, you can also complete the 3 parts in individual steps - Assistant Instructor, Instructor Training Course (ITC) and Instructor Evaluation (IE) one after the other at your own pace and with a flexible schedule.

React Right - Course Combination (FA, CPR, AED, O2)React Right is SSI’s emergency course for first responders and teaches the knowledge and practical skills needed to act appropriately as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible course, you can choose your topics, such as initial assessment, first aid, CPR, and stabilization techniques. You’ll learn more about administering emergency oxygen and using an automated external defibrillator (AED). An SSI Scuba Skills Update will get you back in the water and back to your old strength in no time at all. In the refresher course, you repeat and practise the diving skills from your Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI professional. However, a scuba skills update is not only a relaxed way of refreshing your diving skills, but often also a prerequisite for resuming diving training after a break. If you don't want to worry about your skills on your diving vacation and would rather enjoy the underwater world instead, take the course shortly before your trip. The course is also ideal for Open Water Diver students to consolidate their diving skills before open water dives. The flexible course duration allows you to take your time and concentrate on your weaknesses.

The SSI Snorkel Diver course lets you discover the fish in you! It's the perfect way to learn to snorkel, gain courage and confidence in the water and explore the fascinating underwater world and its marine life. You don't need to be an experienced swimmer to take part in the Snorkel Diver course and there is no minimum age requirement. You just need to feel comfortable in the water, be able to maintain your buoyancy and be ready to start the adventure of a lifetime! Take an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! With the course you will expand your diving knowledge to plan safe dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. After completing the course, you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%.

Playa del Carmen is located on the Mexican Caribbean coast, the so-called Riviera Maya, 70 km south of Cancún airport. The small, family-run hotel with its beautiful pool area is located in the middle of Playa del Carmen and despite its proximity to the center, it is very quiet and invites you to relax. The beach, many restaurants, bars, stores and supermarkets are just a few minutes' walk away. The Spanish word "cenote" originally comes from the Mayan word "dznot" and means "sacred water". The Yucatan Peninsula is basically a huge sponge soaked full of the clearest fresh water. Cenotes have been formed by the dissolution of limestone, creating caves and underground watercourses. Visibility of over 100 meters can be achieved, making diving an unforgettable experience. In many caves, salt water is pushed in from the sea and from a depth of 10 meters a layer forms between the salt water and fresh water in which the water mixes, the so-called "halocline", which appears like a surface in the water both upwards and downwards in its untouched state and conjures up a white line on the limestone when illuminated accordingly with a diving lamp! In general, the mix of stalactites, stalagmites and columns, as well as the light effects created by the sun, the view from the depths through the surface into the jungle, the mirror effects of the rocks in the shallow water to the surface and the "halocline" in combination with over 100 meters of visibility, is an absolute experience, especially for the spoiled, experienced diver. All cenotes are different and have their own charm and beauty and are sure to guarantee a big grin on your face after diving.
