Open Water Diver - Weekend

The SSI Try Scuba program is your introduction to the underwater world. This entry-level program gives you the opportunity to experience the underwater world, in a confined water setting. You will earn the SSI Try Scuba recognition rating, must be 8 years old or older for this session. Try Scuba courses are scheduled to coincide with Open Water Diver courses. If the Open Water Diver course doesn’t make the Try Scuba course may still make as long as there is a minimum number of students. React Right is SSI’s emergency first response course and provides you with the training and knowledge you need to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible dive program, you can choose which subjects you want to learn about, including primary assessment, first aid, CPR and primary stabilization techniques. You can also learn about oxygen administration in diving emergencies and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) basics. Using a combination of academic sessions and practical training scenarios, this program will give you the tools and confidence you need for emergency response. By the time you are certified, you will be able to act as an emergency first responder, provide first aid and CPR, administer oxygen and provide AED support in a medical emergency. Are you interested in getting an update before your next trip? A Scuba Skills Update provides you with the opportunity to review and practice necessary scuba skills that you learned in your original Open Water Diver program under the guidance of an SSI Dive Professional. The Scuba Skills Update is often a required for continuing your diving training after a long period of time away from the sport. You will be issued an SSI Scuba Skills Update digital recognition card. Scuba Skills Update courses are scheduled to coincide with Open Water Diver courses. If the Open Water Diver course doesn’t make the Scuba Skills Update course may still make as long as there is a minimum number of 3 students. This globally-recognized certification program is the best way to begin your life-long adventure as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification. OPEN WATER DIVER. Open Water SCUBA academic learning sessions and pool sessions are Monday and Wednesday from 6-10pm for two weeks. The lake session (checkout dives) for this course are generally scheduled for the following weekend at Beaver or Tenkiller Lake and require two days; you do have up to 6 months to complete your checkout dives and we can work with you on your schedule. If you don’t see a schedule that fits your needs or want a private course, please call Dive Site to discuss the details.
