Perfect Buoyancy

Perfect Buoyancy

The SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty course is the best way to improve your buoyancy and experience perfect dives. Buoyancy control is one of the most important diving skills, but as any experienced diver will tell you, it takes time to perfect. In this course, you will learn advanced buoyancy skills and techniques to help you master your buoyancy faster. By improving your water position and optimizing your buoyancy control, you can reduce your air consumption and increase your bottom times. In this fascinating course you will also learn new skills to protect the underwater world, which can always be used. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Specialty certification. Well-balanced, you will soon be gliding calmly through the water, taking the underwater photos you've always dreamed of or simply enjoying the weightlessness. The course starts with a theory evening where the remaining dates are agreed with the participants.

Altitude Diving

The SSI Altitude Specialty program provides divers with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely plan and conduct dives in waters above 300 meters above sea level. When diving at higher altitudes, the environmental conditions change significantly, especially due to the lower atmospheric pressure. These changes affect the physics of diving, nitrogen uptake and decompression planning and require appropriate preparation. During the course, participants learn the theoretical principles of altitude diving, including the effects of altitude on pressure conditions, no-decompression times, repetitive dives and surface intervals. Special emphasis is placed on the correct adjustment and use of dive computers and the planning of safe dive profiles under altitude conditions. In addition, important safety aspects such as acclimatization, travel planning and correct behaviour before and after diving at altitude are covered. The practical training dives give participants the opportunity to directly apply what they have learned. They practice planning and executing high altitude dives, controlled ascents, precise buoyancy control and the safe handling of often cold and challenging environmental conditions. After completing the program, participants will be able to plan and execute dives in mountain lakes and other highland waters independently and safely. A valid Open Water Diver certification or equivalent is required for participation. The program is aimed at divers who want to expand their skills and dive safely in alpine or high-altitude waters.
