The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn the respect of your dive buddies and become an ambassador for diving by completing the Divemaster program. All you need is 40 verified dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 verified dives in each area plus Diver Stress & Rescue. Upon successful completion of the Divemaster program, you will be certified as a Dive Guide. If you want to turn your passion into a profession by guiding certified divers, teaching Ecology programs, assisting instructors or even becoming an instructor yourself, your next step is the Divemaster upgrade with at least 60 logged/verified dives. You can upgrade to Divemaster immediately or later by studying the Science of Diving materials yourself and passing the Digital Final Exam, which makes you an SSI Professional. The Independent Diving program prepares you for independent diving without a buddy. This can be useful for photo dives, for example. The course deals with precise dive planning, accident prevention, the dangers of diving alone and the correct execution of a solo dive. The course will cover the additional equipment required for solo dives. The purpose of this course is to familiarize the diver with the benefits, procedures, techniques and potential hazards associated with solo diving.

The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty course shows you how to dive beyond no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving equipment and a single scuba tank. You will learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas exchange or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become routine for you so that you can make safe dives with limited decompression without hours of dive planning. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification, allowing you to explore stunning deep dive sites or large wrecks without the limitation of no-decompression limits.
