SSI Open Water Diver Course – Learn to Dive in the Maldives

Become a certified scuba diver in one of the world’s most beautiful destinations with the SSI Open Water Diver Course at SeaCrest Scuba, Ukulhas. No experience needed — just bring your sense of adventure.

Start with easy online SSI e-learning, then complete your training in the crystal-clear waters of Ukulhas. Learn essential diving skills with our professional instructors and finish your course with unforgettable open water dives on vibrant coral reefs, home to turtles, rays, and tropical fish.

The course takes 3–4 days, includes full diving equipment, and is conducted in small groups for maximum comfort and personal attention. We use larger tanks as standard, giving you longer, more relaxed dives from day one.

By the end, you’ll earn an internationally recognized SSI Open Water Diver certification, allowing you to dive up to 18 meters anywhere in the world.

This globally recognized certification program is the best way to begin your lifelong adventures as a certified scuba diver. Personalized training is combined with in-water practice sessions to ensure you have the skills and experience required to become truly comfortable underwater. You will earn the SSI Open Water Diver certification.

The SSI Open Water Diver certification is your passport to the underwater world. Globally recognised and valid for life, this course will teach you everything you need to dive independently with a buddy to a maximum depth of 18 metres. At Seacrest Scuba, we combine SSI's flexible eLearning theory — completed at your own pace on your phone or tablet — with hands-on confined water training and four unforgettable open water dives on Maldivian reefs. Small group sizes and personal instructor attention ensure you learn at a comfortable pace and build real confidence underwater.

Course price includes: SSI eLearning digital materials, all scuba equipment throughout the course, boat transfers to all dive sites, tanks and weights, and SSI Open Water Diver certification with digital card via the MySSI app.

Not included: personal travel insurance (strongly recommended), underwater photos (available as an add-on), and any medical examination fees if required.

Weather and sea conditions in the Maldives are generally excellent year-round. In the rare event that a session must be postponed due to adverse conditions, Seacrest Scuba will reschedule at no extra cost.
