It's easy for scuba skills to rust and lose confidence when you haven't dived for a while. With SSI's Scuba Skills Update, we'll get you back in the water and diving with ease in no time. This Scuba Skills Update course allows you to review and practice the diving skills you learned in the Open Water Diver program, under the supervision of an SSI professional. This is a great course to take before your diving vacation, so you can spend less time worrying about your skills and more time admiring the marine life. If you are a non-certified Open Water Diver student, Scuba Skills Update is perfect for practicing your diving skills before your open water training dives. This course has no fixed format because it can be tailored to your needs and the skills needed to be reviewed (for example, rescue, dive guide or simply open water skills). The fee is based on 3 parts, one day of knowledge update, a pool training session, and one open water session to bring all those skills to life. The SSI Diver Stress and Rescue specialty program teaches you the skills you need to protect yourself and other divers. You will learn how to identify stress, how to prevent accidents and be taught practical techniques to conduct rescues and provide emergency care. With a combination of pool and open water practice sessions, you will become well prepared and confident at handling emergency and rescue situations. The SSI Extended Range Foundations program provides you with an opportunity to enhance your advanced diving skills in a workshop environment. Learn more about using tec diving gear with any total diving system you are certified to use and build upon your basic skill set to master buoyancy, trim, finning techniques, positioning, and communication. The Extended Range Foundations program provides supplementary training to existing certifications to increase your confidence and in-water control. All in-water sessions are completed in a pool/confined water environment at depths less than 12 meters. You will earn the SSI Extended Range Foundations certification after completing this program.Take your skills and buoyancy to the next level. The Dive Guide program is the first step on an exciting journey. Learn to safely lead certified divers in various environments and conditions. This is your entry to the professional world of scuba divers. By giving dive briefings, doing site evaluations, and leading dives, you will become a confident Dive Guide in no time. Begin your diving career working as a Professional Dive Guide and learn how to organize scuba diving trips and how to become a productive member in a very busy scuba center. You can also get another certification and become training specialist and teach beautiful courses about the ocean and the marine life. Dive Experience - CAS Academy This experience is for those who are curious about the world of scuba diving, and want to experience what it feels like to breathe underwater for the first time. At CAS, the experience is not only offered as a recreational activity, but as a structured and safe introduction to the world of diving, where comfort is built and learning is progressive. The session begins with a simple explanation of breathing and equipment, then hands-on training in shallow water, and after ensuring comfort, participants are taken on a short underwater tour with direct supervision from the instructor. The goal is not just to experience, but to feel comfortable, in control and aware underwater. Total Duration: 2-3 hours Dive time: 30-45 minutes Location: Half Moon Beach The experience is suitable for beginners, and may be the first step for those who want to learn to dive deeper. Part of the experience fee can be included in the open water course fee.
