The SSI Extended Range Foundations program provides you with an opportunity to enhance your advanced diving skills in a workshop environment. Learn more about using tec diving gear with any total diving system you are certified to use and build upon your basic skill set to master buoyancy, trim, finning techniques, positioning, and communication. The Extended Range Foundations program provides supplementary training to existing certifications to increase your confidence and in-water control. All in-water sessions are completed in a pool/confined water environment at depths less than 12 meters. The Dive Guide program is the first step on an exciting journey. Learn to safely lead certified divers in various environments and conditions. This is your entry to the professional world of scuba divers. By giving dive briefings, doing site evaluations, and leading dives, you will become a confident Dive Guide in no time. Begin your diving career working as a Professional Dive Guide and learn how to organize scuba diving trips and how to become a productive member in a very busy scuba center. You can also get another certification and become training specialist and teach beautiful courses about the ocean and the marine life. This course also qualifies you to enter instructor training course.This course can be for any diver who wants to become more confident and has environmental awareness, and not necessarily make a career out of it. You will be able to assess dive sites, analyze divers and lead friends if you want to. The course is composed of academics (read before you come), 2 pool training sessions to sharpen your open water and rescue skills. This Scuba Skills Update course allows you to review and practice the diving skills you learned in the Open Water Diver program, under the supervision of an SSI professional. This is a great course to take before your diving vacation, so you can spend less time worrying about your skills and more time admiring the marine life. If you are a non-certified Open Water Diver student, Scuba Skills Update is perfect for practicing your diving skills before your open water training dives. This course has no fixed format because it can be tailored to your needs and the skills needed to be reviewed (for example, rescue, dive guide or simply open water skills). The fee is based on 3 parts, one day of knowledge update, a pool training session, and one open water session to bring all those skills to life. In this specialized program, you'll gain the advanced skills and knowledge you need to navigate safely and confidently underwater. You will learn how to use a compass and natural navigation techniques, estimate distance, how to leave and return to a given point, as well as basic navigation patterns. You will also be taught how to combine navigation techniques to enhance your diving experience. All of this enhances your underwater observation skills, improves the safety of your dives and helps you get the most out of each dive.
