Open water course takes 2 days and costs 11. 000 thb

It consists of one practice dive and 4 dives

On the 1st day, in the morning from 9am to 10.30am, you will have a theory lesson in the classroom

Around 11am, we'll go out on the boat and you'll do your first practice dive in shallow water to learn the basics of diving

We'll go back on the boat and have lunch (included in the price)

You'll have a debriefing of the practice dive and then we'll do the 1st dive to a maximum of 12 metres

The boat will return to port at around 5.30pm

On the 2nd day, from 9am to 10:30am you will again have a theory course

At 11am, we will go out on the boat to do 3 dives, one to 12 metres and 2 to 18 metres max, which will confirm your Open Water certification

During this training course, you will:

- attend two 2½-hour classroom sessions

- complete a practice dive in shallow water

- complete two dives to a depth of 12 metres

- complete two dives to a depth of 18 metres

- learn how to assemble your diving equipment and detect potential problems

- learn how to carry out pre-dive checks

- perform exercises to help you feel comfortable and safe underwater

- discover underwater communication

- be introduced to different marine species

Training schedule:

Day 1

9:00 a.m.: theory lesson (2 hours)

11:00 a.m.: departure from the boat

12:00 p.m.: exercise dive 1 (minimum 1 hour)

1:00 p.m.: lunch on the boat and debriefing

2:00 p.m.: dive 2 to 12 m (45 min)

5:30 p.m.: return to port

Day 2

9:00 a.m.: theory lesson + multiple-choice test - 2 hours

11:00 a.m.: departure from the boat

12:00 p.m.: Dive 3 at 12 m

1:00 p.m.: lunch on the boat and debriefing

2:00 p.m.: Dive 4 at 18 m

4:00 p.m.: Dive 5 at 18 m

5:30 p.m.: return to port

Included in the Open Water course:

- 2 theory sessions in class

Physical tests:

- 100 m freestyle swim

- Floating on the surface for 10 minutes

Theory tests:

Conditions:

- Open to children aged 10 and over (minimum age)

- 10 and 11 years old, maximum training depth - 12 m

- 12 years old (minimum), maximum training depth - 18 m
