SSI Science of Diving is a theoretical training program designed to expand your knowledge of the science behind diving.During the course, you will learn how the human body responds to the underwater environment and how factors such as pressure, the gases you breathe, buoyancy, and the physics and physiology of diving influence it. You’ll also learn the basic principles of decompression, the use of dive tables and computers, and aspects related to dive planning and safety.This program is an excellent option for divers who want to better understand what happens underwater, improve their planning skills, and lay a solid foundation for continuing their advanced and professional training.The course consists primarily of classroom instruction, with no dives required.Upon completing the program, you will earn the SSI Science of Diving certification.

The SSI Sidemount program is designed to teach divers how to dive using tanks positioned on the sides of the body, rather than on the back.During the course, you will learn how to properly set up and use your sidemount equipment, as well as develop the skills necessary to achieve good buoyancy, trim, positioning, and equipment control. The SSI Open Water Diver is the certification course that allows you to explore the underwater world independently and safely, to a maximum depth of 18 metres.During the course, you will learn the essential knowledge and skills needed for scuba diving, from setting up and using your equipment to buoyancy control, finning techniques, underwater communication and safety procedures.The programme combines theory training, pool or confined-water sessions and several open-water dives, where you will put everything you have learned into practice under the supervision of an SSI Professional.Once you successfully complete the course, you will receive your SSI Open Water Diver certification, which is internationally recognised and allows you to continue exploring and progressing with your diving education.No previous diving experience is required to take this course. You simply need to be at least 10 years old and meet the relevant medical requirements.

As a Nitrox diver, you can increase your bottom times and safety margins, plus shorten your surface intervals - so you can spend more time diving and less time waiting! In this program, you will learn new skills and increase your diving knowledge whilst learning how to safely plan and dive with enriched air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Upon completion, you will earn an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification.

The SSI Deep Diving Specialty will teach you everything you need to dive to depths between 18 and 40 meters through a combination of academic sessions and open-water dives. You’ll learn how to safely plan and complete your deep diving adventures and how to use dive computers and gas consumption calculations to get the most out of your deep dives. The SSI Extended Range Foundations program offers you the opportunity to improve your advanced diving skills in a hands-on, workshop-style environment.
