You'll experience deep diving and sailing, plus a variety of three more specialty areas of your choice before committing to full specialty training. During the Advanced Open Water Diver Program, you'll experience 5 different specialties, completing one open water training dive per specialty, after a comprehensive briefing with your SSI instructor. In this sidemount diving course, you’ll learn all you need to go single or two-cylinder recreational sidemount diving up to a maximum depth of 30 meters or to your certification depth, whichever is deeper. Sidemount diving is already common practice for wreck, mine, and cave divers, but now the benefits are being discovered by more recreational divers. With no heavy tank on your back, you’ll be more comfortable in the water and find your streamlining and trim improve effortlessly. By using less energy you may reduce your gas consumption so you can make the most of your dive time. With better buoyancy control, easier access to your valves and more redundancy as well, sidemount diving offers safety and peace of mind. React Right is SSI's first emergency response course and provides you with the training and knowledge needed to act as a first responder in a medical emergency. In this flexible diving program, you can choose which subjects you want to learn, including primary assessment, first aid, CPR, and primary stabilization techniques. You can also learn about administering oxygen in diving emergencies and understanding automated external defibrillator (AED). Using a combination of academic sessions and hands-on training scenarios, this program will provide you with the tools and confidence you need for emergency response. By the time you are certified, you will be able to act as an emergency first aider, provide first aid and CPR, administer oxygen, and provide AED support in a medical emergency. The Divemaster program is the first step on an exciting journey. Earn respect from your fellow divers and become a diving ambassador by taking the Divemaster program. All you need to get started are 40 verified/registered dives and certifications in Deep Diving, Navigation, Night & Limited Visibility or at least 5 logged/verified dives of experience in each of these areas, in addition to Diver Stress & Rescue training. You will be certified as a Dive Guide (DG) after successfully completing the Divemaster program. When your interest is to turn your passion into a profession by guiding certified divers, teaching Ecology programs, assisting instructors, or even becoming an instructor, your next step is the Divemaster Upgrade with a minimum of 60 logged/verified dives. Upgrade to Divemaster immediately or later, at any time you like, by studying the Science of Diving material on your own. Upon finishing and passing the Digital Final Exam, you will become an SSI Professional.
