Through online learning and open water and confined water dives, the SSI Scuba Diver program gives you the perfect foundation to become an independent and safe diver. You will learn everything you need for open water dives to a maximum depth of 12 meters together with an SSI Professional. With this program you complete about half of the Open Water Diver program and can upgrade your certification later. You will learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving system and a single decompression tank. You will learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas exchange or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become second nature to you so that you can conduct safe dives with limited decompression without hours of dive planning.
