Your safe ticket to the underwater world is your Open Water Diver certification. This certification is recognized worldwide. Through online learning and open water and confined water dives, the SSI Scuba Diver program gives you the perfect foundation to become an independent and safe diver. You will learn everything you need for open water dives to a maximum depth of 12 meters together with an SSI Professional. With this program you complete about half of the Open Water Diver program and can upgrade your certification later. You only need to complete the remaining theory and limited open water units as well as two open water training dives and the course dates take place with a registration 14 days before the start of the course and a minimum number of 2 students. The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty shows you how to dive beyond no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and execute dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving system and a single decompression tank. You will learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas exchange or gas integration, as well as remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer functions will quickly become second nature to you so that you can conduct safe dives with limited decompression without hours of dive planning. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification, allowing you to explore stunning deep dive sites or large wrecks without the limitation of no-decompression limits. Specialty Course Navigation Do you secretly wonder how your instructor always manages to find his way back to the exit or boat?" If so, then the NAVIGATION program is exactly what you need to solve this "mystery". Many of you certainly have a good sense of direction, but unfortunately this will only help you to a limited extent under water, as humans have difficulty orienting themselves in this strange medium under certain circumstances. SSI offers you a structured program on this subject to increase your fun and safety when diving. During the 2 dives of your NAVIGATION program, you will learn various ways of orienting yourself underwater using a compass or natural navigation and determining directions and distances.
