Sea Bees Diving is one of Phuket’s largest diving schools and has been so for over 20 years. It is also one the largest dive center in Thailand. Our headquarters and teaching center is located close to the port in Chalong Bay, where all Phuket dive trips take off from. In addition, our dive center has several branches around the island, so we are never far from our divers and always within easy reach. We are proud of the fact that for many years we have been among the most popular and best dive schools, not only in Phuket, but in all of Southeast Asia. Numerous prizes, countless positive experiences, thank-you emails and feedback from our guests show us that we have continually done things right and encourage us to keep giving our best.
In Phuket, all dive trips depart from the port in Chalong. All divers have to be transported from their hotel to the port in the morning. Since our dive school is only a few meters away from the harbour, we are in an ideal location for day trips. Our resort is within walking distance of the harbour and the dive center, so short travel times are guaranteed. We have an international team of instructors, guides and staff, so if you are more comfortable learning and communicating in a language other than English, let us know and we will make the necessary arrangements.
Our training center is only a few minutes’ walks from the dive base at the Palm Garden Resort. The classrooms are equipped with modern multimedia devices and air conditioning. In the heart of the resort is also a three-meter deep swimming pool where our beginners’ classes and training take place. Right next to the dive base is our cozy restaurant, serving both Thai and international cuisine. It’s the perfect spot to meet up with your dive buddies at the end of the day.
Our modern dive bases in Phuket consist of customer service areas, dive gear showrooms, equipment rental as well as maintenance and servicing plus tank filling stations.
King Cruiser is rated as one of the best wreck dive sites in Asia, certainly Thailand. Having sank on May 4th in 1997 this is an amazing wreck dive sitting at over 30m, the top of the wreck is now around 18m. Suitable for Advanced and technical divers. Large Schools of fish and beautiful coral.
This is one our favourite dive sites since it has the widest range of wildlife. The reef gently slopes down from the island apart from the wall at the south west which drops 22-26 meters.
Bay 1 is located on the east side of Racha Yai Island. There are three wrecks to be explored at this dive site. Depths are between 5-25 meters and the white sandy beach is calm.
Homerun Reef is just north of Bay 1. A good alternative to the wrecks and concrete cubes around the main part of the bay. There is a small speedboat wreck at around 23m, just off the main reef. This is a good site for drift diving. It’s mostly large rocks, rubble and hard corals. Diving depth is 10-25 meters.
This dive site is located in the second bay on the east side of Ratcha Yai Island. It is a calm environment with white sand dotted with reef patches at a depth of 5m to 25m. There are a series of concrete artificial fish reefs facing offshore, where many fish can be seen roosting.
Shark Point is one of Phuket’s most popular dive sites. The three pinnacles of the Shark Point break the surface in a small area. The rest is submerged and covered in soft and hard corals. This is a great drift dive. You can frequently spot leopard sharks and bamboo sharks here, hence the name.
Bungalow Bay is a calm dive site and very good for beginners, try scuba, and open water students. Depth ranges from 5-20 meters. There is no current or waves. An artificial reef is built here as well.
Dock Mai Island is an island headed southeast from Phuket. You can dive on the east and west sides of the island. Depths are around 30 meters, and it is a wall dive all along the island. There are two large and one small cave on the east side at depths of 22M and 18M.
