Not far from Shaab Sheer we can find Shaab Claude. Shaab Claude sits amidst a chain of 3 block groups, each about 5 to 10 minutes by boat far from each other.
1 hour to the south of El Gouna you can find the Fanadir reefs. It is a wall full of spectacular marine life. Above the wall is a plateau which is about 20m wide, then the wall drops off to over 70m deep. There is one big pinnacle full of glass fish and moray eels.
Russian built Minesweeper wreck located just outside Hurghada marina. The carrier of the El Mina came to an abrupt end in early June 1970th when the port of Hurghada was attacked by Israeli aircraft during the first days of the 6 Day War. It was hit by an Israeli missile and sank where she was anchored in 30m.
The big brother to Shabrur Umm Gamar, this site is about 1h20min to the southeast of El Gouna. This site is great for all levels of divers, beginners to experienced, recreational and technical. Drift dives occur very often here. There are nice plateaus and pinnacles on the east and west side and there is a small nice cave on the east side as well.
This dive is about 1 hour south of El Gouna. The mooring lines are located on the inside of the small bay. From the bay is a wall going outside till you reach some nice reef blocks in the shallows where you will find a drop off going down to 40m. There you can find a small canyon.
About 2 hours southeast of El Gouna is one of the most beautiful reefs of El Gouna. Since the reef is located in the open sea, there are often strong currents. This gives the possibility for many predators to inhabit the reef and corals, due to the great living conditions.
Shaab Iris is located in the Abu Nugar region, which is about 1.5 hours from El Gouna and consists of a main reef and many coral blocks. The average depth is 14m.
Poseidon is in the south of Shaab El Erg which is about 1h 15min east from El Gouna. Its a beautiful coral garden where you can find often big groups of fish.

One of the famous dive sites in Hurghada is Small Giftun Drift, also known as the Polics Station. It offers a great wall drift dive finishing with a coral garden plateau and stunning coral reef with lots of marine life of varying types.
1 hour south of El Gouna is Marsa Abu Galawa. It is a nice bay with a drop off full of beautiful hard corals. In the bay you find nice coral blocks and inside there is a shallow sea gras area.
Under 1h from El Gouna to the south you can find the beautiful reef block of Shabha. The top of the reef starts just under the water’s surface and extends all the way to the sandy bottom just 14m deep, making this a shallow dive. To circle the entire reef will take you about 1h. On the east side there are also some pinnacles.
This site is located in Abu Galawa reef which is about 1 hour south of Elgouna. This dive site is suitable for all divers, especially beginners. The depth is around 4m with a maximum depth of only 10m. There are beautiful pinnacles full of glass and anthias fish. There is also a possibility for a drift dive and seeing dolphins as well.
The Excalibur or Susana was a dive boat that sank in 1996 following an electrical fire. It now lies at a floor depth of just over 20m making it suitable for OW divers
Just outside the Sahl hashisch bay, 20, 25 min away from Makadi bay and hurgada. Nice shallow dive site that can be done either as a stationary dive or as a drift dive. sandy plateau that turns into a drop off and a lot of ergs full of marine life.
