The dive slopes down from 18m deep to the deepest top of the plateau at 40m. PLONGEQUILIBRE, 75008 PARIS Marsa Shagra House Reef (★4.4) Marsa Shagara is a bay with an easy sand bottom entrance that leads to South or North reef dives. The depth starts at 1m and drops to 40m + outside the bay. It is one of the most pristine house reef dives in the south. This dive is great for entry level and experienced divers. Hans E. (#3545391) Sha’ab Marsa Alam (★4.3) Dive site is 10min by boat from Marsa Alam marina. The perfect place for a drift dive around the reef. Nice, colorful coral all around plus a small, old wreck to explore. Hans E. (#3545391) Marsa Shouna (★4.2) A fantastic dive site that can be accessed by daily boats or as a shore dive. Shallow with a sloping bottom toward a north or south running reef. The south reef can be reached by Zodiac or from the shore. Ducks Diving Superior, Marsa Alam Marsa Gabal el Rosas (Ducks center) (★4.5) Narrow entrance with a sandy bottom. Nice coral. A good dive site to make drift dives from the zodiac on the North Anemone City. Good for experienced and beginner divers. Aqualung White Bank (★4.4) Located East of Praslin island, approximately 15-20 mins boat ride from the dive centre, time may vary depending on the weather conditions. The dive consists of submerged granitic rocks to which there are sponges and corals gripped onto them . Average depth 15-22 metres. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Ave Maria (★4.3) Dive amongst these rocky islands between Praslin and La Digue with depths of 5 to 25 meters. There is much life in these canyons. A beautiful dive. You may need more than one dive to get to see everything this site offers. Eagle Divers, Sharm El- Sheikh Ras Umm Sid (★4.5) Done as a boat drift dive or from shore, this dive site offers lots of color and marine life as well as great topography. From the shore, follow the reef on your left for a deep wall dive, but watch for the current at the corner. Follow the reef to your right, you’ll have the bottom beneath you at around 32m. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Ras Katy (★4.2) This dive site is suitable for all diving levels as well as snorkelers. Here you can either do a mooring or a drift dive. This site contains a sandy plateau and drop-off covered with many pinnacles and coral blocks. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Gordon Reef (★4.5) Gordon reef is most famous for the wreck of the “Loullia” which ran aground on the northern end of the reef in 1981. This dive can be done as either a drift or a mooring dive, mooring on the southern side of the reef. SSI Service Center Egypt, 84517 Hurghada Shaab Samadai / Dolphin House (★4.5) Shoaab Samaday, also known as Dolphin House, is a protected area by the Egyptian environment authorities. The crescent formation of the reef and shallow water has, over the time, attracted bottlenose dolphins to use it as a rest location. This dive is perfect for entry level divers and snorkelers alike. Dive One Academy, Sharm El Sheikh Ras Ghozlani (★4.5) One of the most beautiful dive sites in the area. Having been closed to divers for many years due to the turtle nesting beach close by, this site has an extraordinary array of beautiful table corals, glassfish covered pinnacles, and an overall stunning landscape. SSI Service Center Egypt, 84517 Hurghada Elphinstone Reef (★4.4) This is one of the most famous dive site in Egypt. The Elphinstone Reef is full of healthy corals, magnificent clear blue water, and rich marine life. It is also a great destination to see your first shark. Aqualung Abu Galawa Small (★4.3) Galwa Sorayer means small lagoon. It contains 4 small coral reefs, and it has a small lagoon in between the reefs. At outside reef in the west side is a small sailing wreck. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE L’Ilot (★4.2) Also known as The Islet, this small, beautiful island only 200 meters from Mahe. This is a big passage with extreme currents at times. Depths range from 6 to 25 meters. An excellent drift dive. Mares Abu Dabab III (★4.3) Nice shallow reef with maximum depth of about 15-20m. There are several options for diving including drift diving and the pinnacles around the south east are a great place for exploring and finding unusual marine life Aqualung Marsa Shoni Bay (★4.3) Also known as Shoni Bay, this site has an easy, sandy entrance with the main reef to the north and south. On the south side, around 80m from the main reef, beautiful coral blocks are found with a lot of colorful hard corals. Aqualung 2 Mile Reef Pinnacles (★4.2) This dive site has an average depth of 10m and a maximum depth of 12m and is only accessible by boat. It is a nice shallow dive with an abundance of pinnacles to explore. The ‘Old Woman Pinnacle’ is a known feature, rising up to 6m. Mares Manta Point (★4.7) This dive site is about 1 hour and 15 minutes from El Gouna to the northeast. The reef is the extension of the Dolphin House Reef to the north. It has a nicely sloping coral garden and is easy. Usually there is a slight current, making this a drift dive. There is a good possibility to see rays and dolphins, and definitely mantas in the summer season. Mares Little Brother (★4.3) Brothers Island, or El Akhawen, is a “must dive“ for every diver that visits Egypt. This dive site can be reached only via liveaboard boats. The location contains two islands, the small and the big island. This is a more advanced dive as it can have strong currents and deep drop-offs with lots of shark sightings. BLUE SEA DIVERS, 0000 MAHE Dragon Teeth (★4.2) About 40min from Beau Vallon beach and 43min from Bel Ombre marina. We back roll in the water and the boat comes to pick us up wherever we finish the dive. Beautiful dive around a seamount at a maximum depth of 25m. Usually strong current. Luca M. (#3528019) Elphinstone North (★4.3) Located 30km from Marsa Alam, Elphinstone North is one of the main dive sites in this area with lots of sharks and some of the most healthy coral reefs in the region. It is a 90 minute boat ride to reach, however definitely worth the trip! Scubapro, Stephen Frink Sha’ab Maksur (★4.4) Shaab Maksour is big Reef and similar to Elphinstone Reef. It is a huge reef contains 2 plateaus, one north and one south, both are fully covered with soft and fan corals. Drop offs are on each side of the reef. Mid reef in west side is a small lagoon. Extra Divers Ghalib, Port Ghalib Abu Saile (★4.3) An amazing dive site that is approx. 50 min away from Port Ghalib Marina offering daily boats. This dive site is suitable for all diver levels. You will see beautiful hard corals in the shallow areas. The shore can be accessed through the hole in the reef top. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Office (★4.3) The reef consists of various ledges and sandy channels, with the upper parts serving as manta cleaning stations. Located approximately 17km away, which is about a 30-minute boat ride, this dive site has depths ranging from 21-28m, offering a bottom time of 31 minutes for air divers and 40 minutes for nitrox divers Mares Inside Edge - Aliwal Shoal (★4.5) The inside edge of Aliwal Shoal rises from the sand forming a fantastic landscape of pinnacles, gullies, swim-throughs, and caverns. Some of the best diving in Africa is found on the Aliwal Shoal. It is home to a diverse array of marine life. Bernd J. (#4714358) Marsa Umm Gerifat South (★4.3) Snorkelers and divers can enter the park via the jetty/zodiac, speedboat, or beach. The entrance is very easy because you enter the water from a staircase. This site is a slowly sloping reef with many plateaus and up to 40m depth. There is a beautiful canyon at 6 - 18m. Training platforms at 2,3,5 and 9m. Jessica F. (#2893219) Abu Dabab II (★4.3) Reef and coral garden in front of Abu Dabbab Bay. Beautiful cave with bright light inside. Small and old wreck beautifully covered with soft corals. Approachable by zodiac. Norbert S. (#2056803) Marsa Nakari House Reef South (★4.2) Very nice calm bay that is suitable for entry level and experienced divers. The bay guarantees a protected dive from the rough sea. Starting with a sloping sandy bottom, a dive to the north and the south sides can be conducted. iStock-MaRabelo Shark & Yolanda Reef (★4.6) The most famous site in Ras Mohammed. There are many ways to dive the site so there is something for everyone here. Shark Reef, Yolanda Reef, and Satellite Reef make up the 3 pinnacles. On Yolanda Reef you can find toilets and a mast laying around from the sunken Yolanda wreck. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Light House (★4.2) A great dive from 10 to 37 meters deep with lots of fish and pelagics passing by. Hang out on the plateau at 15 meters and you can possibly see sharks. Mares Waynes World (★4.2) This dive site has an average depth of 14m and a maximum depth of 16m and is only accessible by boat. Wayne’s World was named after a local skipper, Wayne Schick, who now runs a restaurant in Sodwana Bay. SCUBA NOSY BE, 207 HELL VILLE Grand Banc Extérieur (★4.4) Site close to shark point, 20m-40m drop off, to be done only in rising tide. Site located at 50mn from the center, 21km, beautiful drop off, rich in fish. Juergen F. (#3034408) Sha’ab Claudio (★4.5) Claudio Reef is the most high light Reef in Fury Shoals, it contains of 2 small reefs and the south reef has 2 fantastic large caves. The caves are not completely covered, from above there are holes and light passes in. The caves are in shallow water. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Channel Rock (★4.2) Located to the east of Praslin island, halfway to La Digue, Approximately 15-25 mins boat ride depending on the weather conditions. It is a submerged granite reef known as channel rock. The average depth ranges between 10-25metres. At low tide the pinnacle of the tallest boulder just breaks the surface. SSI Service Center Egypt, Hurghada Marsa Abu Dabab (★4.4) Abu Dabab North is a significant dive site located in the Marsa Alam zone with very easy access from the shore. This site is suitable for all diver levels and snorkelers as well. It can be easily accessed from boat and shore (boats can only access the site from outside the bay). Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Wattabomi (★4.2) Very easy dive made by different pinnacles at a shallow depth. The pinnacles are formed by different species of hard corals with soft corals and anemones throughout. Following these formations, you can find a coral drop off down to 25 meters. Aqualung Baie Ternay Marine Park (★4.1) 20 min from Beau Vallon Beach and 18min from Bel Ombre Marina. Anchoring on the sand in the area allowed and safe. Marine Park is a beautiful protected reef at a maximum depth of 20m. Sometimes light/strong current. Mares, Janez Kranjc Mnemba Sandbanks (★4.3) This place is formed by a coral reef that, from the surface, decreases very gently in the water. The environment is formed by many species of hard corals of different shapes and colors. Aqualung Turtle Reef (★4.4) This place is formed by a coral reef that, from the surface, descends very gently in the water. The environment is formed by many species of hard corals of different shapes and colors. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Paradise Rock (★4.2) This site owes its name to a large rock, under which is a small cave with a short tunnel. All around the rock are various typical Seychelles species, from large schools of fish to sharks (nurse sharks), turtles, and many lobsters and crabs. BLUE SEA DIVERS, MAHE Brizare Rock, Mahé (★4.4) This site is 35 minutes from the coast by boat into the open sea. The ride can sometimes be rough. Depths are from 12 to 30 meters and this is often a drift dive in current with a lot of underwater life. Lourens G. This dive site is accessible via boat and a negative entry is used to enter the water. This is usually a drift dive with lots of black and white tip sharks, and many fun passages. Ray’s point is a beautiful reef along the granite rocks at a maximum depth of 17m. Sometimes light/strong current. Whitetip Divers, 00000 PRASLIN Red Point (★4.1) Red point is situated at the southernmost tip of Curieuse island within the curieuse marine park. it is approximately a 10mins boat ride from the dive centre depending on the weather conditions. The dive site consists of big gigantic boulders submerged underwater and also some can be seen out of the water. 10-20m ScubaXcursion, 4180 Scottburgh Outside Edge, Aliwal Shoal (★4.3) This dive site has a minimum diving qualification of Advanced Open Water diver as the maximum depth is 27m and is only accessible by boat. Due to its depth, it is not suitable for beginner divers. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Simons Caves and Overhangs (★4.1) This dive site has an average depth of 10 meters and a maximum depth of 16 meters. The dive site is accessible by a short boat ride. It is shoreward facing and offers fascinating pinnacles and deep swim-throughs. SCUBA NOSY BE, 207 HELL VILLE Tanikely sud (★4.3) The Tanikely park is very famous, beautiful dive site, full of fish, very beautiful corals, in good health, moreover easy diving, not deep, for all levels. Mares, Janez Kranjc Coral Gardens (★4.3) The reef consists of thousands of spectacular coloured hard and soft corals. Hard corals provide shelter to numerous juvenile fish.
