You can get there from the shore, although getting into the water is not easy. You leave the water in the middle of the adjacent dive site Scubapro, Stephen Frink Hole in the Wall (★4.3) Hole in the Wall is a beautiful, varied dive site with several entry points and routes. Enter the water from the jetty, next to the jetty, or via the beach a little further on. Dive east or westward towards Mangel Halto dive site. Dive over the beautiful to find a sloping wall with all kinds of corals and fish. Aqualung Stingray City - Grand Cayman (★4.4) Stingray City is one of the most popular attractions on Grand Cayman. This site is in the North Sound of Grand Cayman and has naturally occurring resident Southern Stingrays. This site has become a beacon for snorkel operators bringing tourist groups here. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic Hen Rock (★4.2) A great dive site accessible by boat for all skill levels. Reef and sand bottom with depths vary from 15 to 85 feet on the outer pinnacles. Fun swim-throughs, schools of fish, mini-walls, and overhangs. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Spanish Bay Reef (★4.2) Named for the old Spanish Bay Reef Resort, Spanish Bay Reef is a very popular shore dive with locals and visitors alike. Just 200ft from the man-made breakwater lies a mini wall running parallel with the shoreline. Diving here during high tide is best as low tide drops the visibility significantly. Culebra Divers, 00775 Culebra The Ledges (★3.9) The Ledges is typically sheltered from the prevailing wind and waves which makes it a perfect snorkel site and shallow dive site. Currents are generally mild to moderate, shifting from one direction to the other with the tides. Aqualung POINTE MORPHY (★4.3) Pointe Morphy is a magnificent site starting at 4m and reaching 25m. You will navigate between potato coral until you reach 2 big rock blocks on 15m where underwater life explodes. Beyond that, you can reach 25m but the life there is less spectacular. Mares, Janez Kranjc Wayaka (5) (★4.2) Wayaka, especially after a rainy period, can only be reached with a 4WD via the Washington Slagbaai National Park. There is little diving here, which means that the site is unspoilt. Mares, Janez Kranjc Mike’s Wreck (Hannah M. Bell) (★4.4) One of the many wrecks of Elbow Reef, the Hannah M. Bell was for many years known as Mike’s Wreck. The shallow side is about 18 ft deep with the deeper side being about 30 ft. Perfect for reef divers, new divers, and a relaxing dive on an iconic wreck. Scubaçao, Willemstad Water Factory / Fisherman’s Wharf (★4.3) In front of the old water factory lies this gorgeous healthy shallow coral reef. There are lots of different hard corals and large barrel sponges and orange elephant ear sponges with a shallow steep wall just at the end of the coral reef. Mares, Janez Kranjc Bon Bini na Kas (15) (★4.4) This spot is only accessible by boat and the translation from Papiamentu is welcome home. It is a beautifully situated reef that is worth it both shallow and deep. Mares Reef Scientifico (28) (★4.4) This spot is named after the research done here on the growth of corals on specially designed grids. Also nice for a night dive or snorkeling adventure. Mares Petrie’s Pillar (24) (★4.3) This spot owes its name to the pillar that Captain Don named after a friend as a wedding gift. The divesite looks very much like Andre I and Andrea II. Get Wet, 77760 Tulum Chun Zumbul Deep (★4.6) A deep dive of an average of 26m, with three different plateaus of reefs that are separated by intervals of sand banks in the form of dunes. Strong current. MARCO M. (#3118868) Baby Barge (★4.3) Baby Barge sits in roughly 65-75 feet of water. There is a possibility of strong currents in the area. The wreck is pretty dilapidated, not much of the wreck is left. South and slightly east of the wreck is a large pile of concrete blocks where sharks commonly hang around. Do not touch the wreck, it is very fragile. Mares, Janez Kranjc Spitting Cave (★4.4) Spitting Cave is one of Oahu’s more exciting, deeper dives and is accessed via boat only. This dive is for more advanced divers as it starts around 50 feet and drops down to 140 feet with natural caves carved out in the lava rocks. The current is also fairly strong here so it is considered a drift dive. Mares The Pinnacle (★4.4) The Pinnacle is situated toward the eastern part of Turtle Harbor on the North side of the island. The top of the reef is at about 15-20ft (4.5m-6m) and if you dive away from the wall you can go explore a couple of interesting shallow channels. Mares, Janez Kranjc Turtle Rocks - Bahamas (★4.4) Extensive ledge system with many overhangs and some scattered small to large hard coral heads. Loads of macro life, good for slow dives with a flashlight during the day. Mares Brightledge (★4.4) Brightledge is a section of the outer Pinnacle reef that runs north-south. The jetty is located at approximately 16m and has a standard dive profile of 18m/40min. Generally there is very little current and Advanced /Deep diver certified divers can descend to 40m. Mares Captain Don’s Reef (K) (★4.5) This reef is named after Don Steward, one of the diving pioneers on Bonaire. It is a beautiful reef with all kinds of small plateaus if you dive down the rig for a long time. Dive with Purpose Cozumel, 77675 Cozumel Las Palmas Reef (★4.4) As the shelf of Dzul Ha drops off, a gently sloping wall with sandy patches and scattered coral balls offers great night dives and plenty of marine life. This dive starts at the Money bar and can end 700 meters further North at the Presidente Intercontinental hotel. BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin HMS Proselyte (★4.4) Proselyte Reef, just outside Philipsburg, is the signature dive site within the Man of War Shoal Marine Protected Area. Site is named after the H.M.S. Proselyte that struck the shallow area in September 1801. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Punta Sur - Isla Mujeres (★4.3) 15 minutes from north of the island. Located right at the southern tip. Great drift dive. The only drift dive of the island where you can see big turtles in May through July. Mares Kapalua Beach (★4.4) With a large coral reef lining the bay, there is a lot of marine life in the bay. This is a picturesque dive site with rocky overhangs & valleys further out to adventure in. Best Dive Seasons: Late Spring, Summer, Early Fall BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin Carib Cargo (Wreck) (★4.5) Wreck of the Carib Cargo / RoRo / Carib Ghost. Damaged by Hurricane Luis in 1995 the boat has been moored in front of Philipsburg for one year until Hurricane Bertha took it off it's mooring line in 1996. Found some time later, today, it is on of the best wreck dives on St Maarten. BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin Teigland/ Cable Reef (★4.5) The Teigland is an old ship deliberately sunk here. First she sat on a ledge but then she rolled over and now is lying next to a beautiful reef at about 70 feet deep BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin Lucy's Barge (Wreck) (★4.5) A barge lying at about 55 – 60 feet deep. She sank in 1991 and is badly broken up by storm damage, but you can still recognize the engine block and the propeller. Mares Mike's Maze (★4.5) Mike’s Maze is one of the prettiest and shallowest sites within the Man of War Shoal Marine Protected Area. It starts at approximately 40 feet (12 m) and boasts healthy coral formations and numerous maze-like swim throughs. Mares, Janez Kranjc Alice in Wonderland, BVI (★4.3) Famous for it’s giant mushroom shaped Boulder Corals, Alice in Wonderland promises the advanced diver a magical experience winding through it’s deep spur and groove coral canyons. BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin Little Bay (★4.2) With a maximum depth of 20ft (6m), this site is perfect for beginners . This spot is just on the front at the beach and he have a sea museum with the statues. Rodney S. (#136650) Winch Hole (★4.4) The Winch Hole is a spectacular dive site that has high profile coral around a large pit. A massive winch it lies in the pit and makes for great photo opportunities. BUBBLE SHOP, 97150 Saint-Martin Fish Bowl (★4.4) Jump on in and explore this circular-shaped reef. As the name implies, this site boasts an abundance of wildlife from Honeycomb Trunk Fish, Scrawled File Fish, and huge schools of Bi-coloured Damsel Fish. Scubapro Rube Allyn Reef (★4.1) This 35-foot barge was previously used in the reef program. It is made of 600 tons of concrete from the demolition of the Old Clearwater Pass Bridge, plus culvert and light poles. Many tall pyramid structures including “Twin Peaks” which is at about 80 ft. Mares, Predrag Vuckovic The Tunnels - Bahamas (★4.3) The Tunnels is a dive site in Fowl Cay National Park just off of Abaco island. This is a great, easy dive site full of marine life and can have visibility over 150 feet at times. Scubapro Gregory (★4.4) A 33 m long transport barge, positioned upside down on 15 m of sandy bottom, south of Long Bay. The boat is located not far from a small drop off with turtles roaming it and shoals of sergeants major. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Infinity Bay House Reef (★4.4) Located just off West Bay, this site encompasses various dive sites, suited for beginners on the inner reef and snorkelers. A short distance away is the outer wall and greater depths. Mares Maze - Florida (★4.4) Within easy reach of Islamorada dive shops, this site is a uniquely shaped patch reef with lots of interesting macro opportunities. There is even a resident turtle named Steve. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Sara’s Smile (★4.3) Sara’s Smile is the house reef of Belmar Private Oceanfront Apartments, so if you dive from the shore you need permission. A nice reef and after the dive you will certainly emerge with a “smile“. Mares Paradise - Dominican Republic (★3.9) Paradies Reef is just that, an underwater paradise and a must-see dive off the coast of Punta Cana. The reef sits in 26 feet to 105 feet of water so there is something for every level of diver. A great night dive location as well to see the Dinoflagellates glow in the water at night. Scubapro Bavaro (★3.7) Bavaro shares the country’s largest reef system with Punta Cana and is home to great dive sites full of coral gardens and underwater passageways. Mares Flower Garden (★4.4) The Flower Gardens sits right off West Palm Beach and has a shallow ledge that contains both an inside and outside drop. The outside ledge has several fingers and starts at 40 feet then slopes down to 70 feet. Mares Man O War Shoal (★4.3) Just east of Diamond Rock, this similarly steep rock structure lies in the sandy bottom at 70 feet with twin peaks rising to 15-20 feet from the surface. A multi-level dive profile works best here by circumnavigating the base and slowly spiraling upwards between the two peaks in a figure eight fashion. Aqualung Moonscape (★4.4) Moonscape is a cratered reef that resembles the face of the moon, hence its name. The reef starts at about forty feet of water and is home to numerous Caribbean Stingrays. Aqualung Seaquest Deep (★4.5) A popular dive site that is quick to get to. It is one of the more commonly dived sites in Roatan. Sandy bottoms and plenty of life makes it well worth a dive. Club Nautique Anse des Rochers, 97118 SAINT-FRANCOIS Jardin Japonais (★4.4) At 15 minutes from St François, going down in front of the beach of the clear grapes, we find the 4 big reefs of the Japanese garden. At a depth of between 16 and 18 meters on a sandy bottom and reefs up to 11 meters high, we can dive on this great site. Dive with Purpose Cozumel, 77675 Cozumel Punta Sur - Devil’s Throat (★4.6) Sites in Punta Sur are for advanced level divers due formidable prevailing currents and the typical depths of these sites. Devil’s Throat is a famous passage located on the southernmost end, with an entry point at around 90 feet deep and winds down to 140 feet through a lengthy, narrow downward cavern. Mares, Janez Kranjc Santa Rosa Shallows (★4.5) Santa Rosa Shallows is the counterpart of the famous Santa Rosa Wall. The shallows are a great second dive after exploring the deeper wall. The reef here isn’t any deeper than 60 feet with a mild current; excellent for viewing the buzzing reef activity all along the patchy reef system. Buceando Mahahual, 77976 Mahahual Acuario (★4.6) Shallow easy reef dive site. Maximum depth 13m. Mixture of sandy areas and reef. Ideal for Basic Diver and Open Water courses, also excellent training dive site with a large sandy area by the boat moooring line. Mares, Janez Kranjc Cayman Brac (★4.3) With over 50 named dive sites, Cayman Brac, the least populated of the Cayman Islands, has something for everyone. Breathtaking wall dives, great wrecks, and beautiful coral gardens. Scubapro Flamingo Bay (★4.7) Sheltered bay starting at 5mt / 15ft and slowly descending to 130ft / 40 mtr.
