This site is best dived on an incoming tide & is suitable for most levels of experience, RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Golden Dream (★4.3) This is part of a larger site combined w/Breath Taker and is at the point of the main reef with a series of coral heads/pinnacles starting in 3msw to 36msw w/some beautiful swim-throughs and undercuts can be dived on at anytime. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Breath Taker (★4.3) This is part of a larger site combined w/Golden Dream & is deeper end joined by a ridge running south to north. The highlight of the dive is at teh last pinnacle at 21msw (site range 3msw to 36msw) w/lots of action & marine life. Best dived on incoming current, the stronger the better so DSMB is advise for s/stop. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Dream Maker (★4.3) On the point of the main reef w/lots of crevices & swim-throughs to explore, dive starts in 3msw & drops off to 24msw & can be dived at anytime & suitable for most levels of experience & excellent for confident snorklers. Plenty of wide & macro photo opportunities, keep your eyes open & go slow. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Dragon Tales (★4.3) Several pinnacles close to the main reef starting in 5msw & dropping down to 24msw w/a few swim-throughs covered w/golden yellow soft coral, the top of the site is covered w/anemone & anemone fish & is best dived on an incoming tide. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Bula Maker (★4.2) This is a wall dive starting at 2msw & dropping off to 24msw at the point of the main reef which has lots of swim-throughs & canyons covered in soft coral & sea fans to explore. very pretty site which can be dived at anytime & is suitable for most levels of experience & popular w/confident snorklers. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Disneyland (★4.2) A few heavily decorated pinnacles very close together starting in 5msw & dropping down to a sandy bottom in 30msw, perfect for multi level diving & extending your NDL. This site is best dived on an incoming current, there are plenty of small/macro critters to keep you busy for hours as well as larger visitors. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Wedding Chapel (★4.5) Lots of coral heads starting in 5msw covered w/soft coral & sea fans dropping down to 21msw w/many swim-throughs & archways to explore. This site is best dived on an incoming tide & is suitable for most levels of divers as well as confident snorklers. Mares, Janez Kranjc GREEN ISLAND (★4.3) Green island also known as the grave yard because of the amount of rocks that breach the surface of the water making it look as if they are tomb stones. also known to have claimed a couple of boats. Mares Aldermens- Fish Factory (★4.4) Fish Factory is one of the many magnificent dive sites in the alderman group offering up a nice wall to cruise along and also offers us a pinnacle just off from the wall. More suited for the more experienced and expert divers as it can become a deep dive quite easily. Aqualung Aldermens- HoneyComb (★4.6) Honeycomb dive site offers a range of underwater exploring from going up into the honeycomb like caves to follow a steep and deep wall on the southern side of the rock. DIVE NOW, 0110 Whanagrei Whangarei Heads Old Women (★4.7) Access is by boat only here. A rocky kelpy shore line that slopes away to around 12m+ to the sand line. Some cool pinnacles and swim throughs can be found in the area. As you go further away from shore and follow the sand line to the 30m mark you will find some more spectacular pinnacles. Dive Whakatane, 3121 Ohope Anemone Boulders (★4.9) Reef dive over kelp extending down to 21M. Easy site to navigate along edge of reef. Swim throughs and overhangs, Best wind conditions are Southerly, avoid Easterly wind and Northerly swell. Global Dive, 1010 Auckland Cave Bay (★4.3) This is a great site with depth ranges to suit all ability of diver, from beginner to tech and all the levels in between. Big boulders, kelpy and depth if you look for it. Eastward side of the Poor Knights Islands which doesn’t great visited as often as we would like due to the easterly sea conditions. Global Dive, 1010 Auckland Hideaway Bay (★4.3) Also known as Dutchmans Cove, this is a beautiful little site has plenty going on. On the left the wall gently sloped but knobbly and slowly get deeper out towards the point. On the right you have a shear wall with depth of 18m with a sand gully. Global Dive, 1010 Auckland The Gardens (★4.4) Mixture of boulder and sandy patches at this consistently shallow site. The depth at the back of the bay is an easy 5-10m. The bay plateaus at around 10-15m for about 500m out from the wall. Around the wall at the back of the bay are a number of cracks and archways to go exploring in. Shark fin cave is beauty! Global Dive, 1010 Auckland Oculina Point (★4.4) Should be renamed Leopard Anemone Point! The bay has a bouldery – kelpy bottom which gradually slopes down from about 10m heading down to 60metres for those ith the training. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Block 24 (★4.5) Another lovely shore dive with lots of fish life, it can also be done by a boat drop just 3 or 4-minutes (1km) from the resort, visibility is typically low at around 6m/20’ however excellent for searching for critters and can be dived 24-hours a day. This is best dived on an incoming tide. Enjoy! TAHITI ITI DIVING, 98719 TARAVAO Tombant de Papeari (★4.3) This reef drop-off is covered with gorgonians and soft coral. Without fail you’ll see schools of chubs and paddletail snappers at a depth of 20m. In the deep blue you might just meet mackerel scads being chased by bonito or tuna. Spadelfish (paraha peue) are regular to this spot! REEF SAFARI FIJI, 0000 NADI Nabaibai Passage (★4.6) Hidden between two large reefs, this cave dive offers an exciting adventure into the unknown. Whilst using torches to light the way, see some of the creatures which hide within and enjoy an easy yet exhilarating dive. REEF SAFARI FIJI, 0000 NADI Golden Reef (★4.4) Found along the southern reef wall of Yanuca Island is golden reef. At the edge of a reef, this gradual drop off hosts many different corals and fish. It’s easily accessible by boat with only a 10 minute journey from the shore. Starting shallow, it slowly tapers down to a deeper depth of around 35m. DIVE NOW, 0110 Whangarei Brady’s Corner (Shark Fin Cave) (★4.3) Typical New Zealand Reefs. Steep drops offs and lots of boulders to look at. Good for beginner as it has shallow parts and is sheltered. Steep drops off go to 40 meters. REEF SAFARI FIJI, 0000 NADI Purple Reef (★4.5) Just 8 minutes away by boat, this reef really lives up to its name. With a wide variety of corals and plenty of colours to see, its never a dull dive. Watch the edge of the reef slowly bank down as the beauty rock formations create lots of places for marine life to hide. DIVE NOW, 0110 Whangarei Landing Bay Pinnacle & Teravana Cave (★4.6) Pinnacle sea mount that attracts lots off fish life. Pinnacle rises to a depth of around 5 meters, but dives to 40+ meters can be made here. Dive site is better for advanced and expert divers. TAHITI ITI DIVING, 98719 TARAVAO Les Gorgones (★4.2) A dive up to 50m in depth, perfect for budding photographers: orange and violet gorgonians, black coral, octocoralia, soft coral, ghost coral, sea slugs... TAHITI ITI DIVING, 98719 TARAVAO La Vavi (★4.1) This is the name of the river which flows down from the valley. Here you will discover an overhanging reef covered with gorgonians. You can also spot white-tipped sharks fast asleep. Ocean diving up to 50m. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Aquarium de Cook (★4.5) Less than 5 minutes away from the diveshop, a perfect dive site for beginners : introductory dives, refresher dives, first lessons of training (Open Water Diver) : shallow and without current. A sandy bottom with a lot of coral potatoes housing a rich underwater fauna. DIVE NOW, 0110 Whangarei Tie Dye Arch Poor Knights (★4.7) At the Southern end of the Poor Knights Marine Reserve and accessible on only days with minimum wind and swell is the colourful and popular Tye Dye Arch. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Vatu Dromu (★4.6) 5 minutes away. Located on the point of Narara Island. A chip of the island broke and sunk on the point providing new reef habitat for marine life. 3 topographies on this dive. Sandy bottom coral garden on one side, boulders around the point with wall, crevices & bommies on the other. WHITETIP MARINE ADVENTURES PTE LTD, 0000 Nadi Plantation Pinnacle (★4.6) Plantation Pinnacle is a great spot for both beginners and more experienced scuba divers, with beginners able to explore the top of the bommie at depths of about 6 to 10 metres, while the more experienced divers can explore the depths (about 24 metres). Scubapro Coral Wonderland (★4.6) Just a two minute boat ride west of Barefoot Manta Island Resort, coral wonderland is a gentle slope down to a sandy bottom with large pinnacles and coral bommies. Aqualung NAMOTU FISH MARKET (★4.7) Fish market is located at the Northern side of Namotu island house reef. Great dive site for beginners advanced and expert divers. Start the dive at 3 to 5 meters and make your way to max 22 meters with an average of 12 to 15 meters. Slight to moderate currents. Aqualung Coral Seafan (★4.3) Twenty Minutes from Beqa Lagoon Resort with depths from 15 to 60 feet, this is a great checkout dive location for divers of all experience levels. DIVE NOW, 0110 Whangarei Ann‘s Reef, Poor Knights (★4.5) Sheltered at the very north of the Poor Knights Islands, Anne’s reef is a pinnacle that sits about 15 metres off of the main island. The channel between is around 20 metres deep and the outside drops down to 60 metres. The top of the reef is perfect for safety stops as it is 6 metres deep. WHITETIP MARINE ADVENTURES PTE LTD, 0000 Nadi Coral Garden Fiji (★4.8) Forty five minutes from Port Denarua. Two minutes Eastern side of Namotu Island.Mooring line is well protected and sheltered at a depth of 8meters.A shallow reef with array of hard coral species.The reef offers gentle currents but can be very strong at times. DIVE NOW, 0110 Whangarei Sugarloaf Rock Poor Knights (★4.4) Only accessible on calm days, Sugarloaf is an almost vertical pinnacle, dropping to 90 metres. With one small ledge at 18 metres and a pinnacle that breaks the surface at low tide offering a great place for safety stops. Large schools of fish inhabit the area and gannets call the top home. Coral Coast Divers, 00000 Pacific Harbour THE COLOSSEUM Coral Coast Divers private shark sanctuary (★4.9) 40 minutes Southwest of Pacific Harbour. Private marine reserve shark conservation sanctuary in the world famous Beqa lagoon. Home to the largest and biggest population of Bull Sharks and Tiger Sharks in the world. Due to the site located near the deep ocean drop, visibility can reach up to 45 meters. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Underwater Phantasea (★4.3) A group of small bommies, on the leeward side of the main reef covered in magnificent soft and hard coral which is best dives on an outgoing tide. This site starts in 5m/15’ & drops off to the seabed at 21m/70’, best dived 12m/40’ to 15m/50’ range & suitable for most levels. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Swim Through Heaven (★4.3) As the name says there are lots of swim thoughts, this is an exciting dive, for experienced & comfortable divers, best dived on an outgoing tide. The walls & tunnels have fragile sea fans, & are adorned with amazing yellow sort coral/ Please be careful & do not touch or grab, it is a fragile site. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Tequila Sunrise (★4.4) A series of pretty coral heads connected to the main reef (Vatulaca Reef), great variety to explore, a nice easy dive, starting in 5m/15’ & dropping off to 21m75’ which is best dived on an outgoing tide around 16m/30’ - this is also a beautiful night dive site. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Dua Tale (★4.6) Dua Tale, meaning ONE MORE in Fijian is a series of coral heads & underwater canyons w/swim-through’s, lot’s of macro life, amazing soft & hard coral, & as the name suggests, everyone wants to do it ’one more time’, once is never enough. BORA OCEAN ADVENTURES, 98730 BORA BORA Tapu Canyon (★4.7) A variation on the classic Tapu dive. A beautiful dive on a shallow coral plateau with a beautiful drop-off.
