Anderson Starfish No results found Global Dive, 1010 Auckland Cave Bay (★4.3) This is a great site with depth ranges to suit all ability of diver, from beginner to tech and all the levels in between. Big boulders, kelpy and depth if you look for it. Eastward side of the Poor Knights Islands which doesn’t great visited as often as we would like due to the easterly sea conditions. Global Dive, 1010 Auckland Hideaway Bay (★4.3) Also known as Dutchmans Cove, this is a beautiful little site has plenty going on. On the left the wall gently sloped but knobbly and slowly get deeper out towards the point. On the right you have a shear wall with depth of 18m with a sand gully. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Block 24 (★4.5) Another lovely shore dive with lots of fish life, it can also be done by a boat drop just 3 or 4-minutes (1km) from the resort, visibility is typically low at around 6m/20’ however excellent for searching for critters and can be dived 24-hours a day. This is best dived on an incoming tide. Enjoy! TAHITI ITI DIVING, 98719 TARAVAO Tombant de Papeari (★4.3) This reef drop-off is covered with gorgonians and soft coral. Without fail you’ll see schools of chubs and paddletail snappers at a depth of 20m. In the deep blue you might just meet mackerel scads being chased by bonito or tuna. Spadelfish (paraha peue) are regular to this spot! REEF SAFARI FIJI, 0000 NADI Golden Reef (★4.4) Found along the southern reef wall of Yanuca Island is golden reef. At the edge of a reef, this gradual drop off hosts many different corals and fish. It’s easily accessible by boat with only a 10 minute journey from the shore. Starting shallow, it slowly tapers down to a deeper depth of around 35m. REEF SAFARI FIJI, 0000 NADI Purple Reef (★4.5) Just 8 minutes away by boat, this reef really lives up to its name. With a wide variety of corals and plenty of colours to see, its never a dull dive. Watch the edge of the reef slowly bank down as the beauty rock formations create lots of places for marine life to hide. Mares, Janez Kranjc Plateau aux tortues (★4.5) Located in the heart of the Fishermen’s Bay, the site presents itself as a vast disc, swept by the waves. The outer edge, steep, offers beautiful perspectives on the abyss; gorgonians and black coral find their place there. Aqualung Yankee Juillet (★4.2) Generally a terrible dive, nothing to see. Don’t waste your time here. Years ago, a small plane crashed and the wreckage is here. There are a few small pieces of the wreckage, but nothing terribly exciting. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Aquarium de Cook (★4.5) Less than 5 minutes away from the diveshop, a perfect dive site for beginners : introductory dives, refresher dives, first lessons of training (Open Water Diver) : shallow and without current. A sandy bottom with a lot of coral potatoes housing a rich underwater fauna. Scubapro, Stephen Frink Vatu Dromu (★4.6) 5 minutes away. Located on the point of Narara Island. A chip of the island broke and sunk on the point providing new reef habitat for marine life. 3 topographies on this dive. Sandy bottom coral garden on one side, boulders around the point with wall, crevices & bommies on the other. WHITETIP MARINE ADVENTURES PTE LTD, 0000 Nadi Plantation Pinnacle (★4.6) Plantation Pinnacle is a great spot for both beginners and more experienced scuba divers, with beginners able to explore the top of the bommie at depths of about 6 to 10 metres, while the more experienced divers can explore the depths (about 24 metres). REEF SAFARI FIJI, 0000 NADI Pandora Reef (★4.8) A fun explorative Dive Site just around the corner from Barefoot Kuata Front Beach reachable by a 3 minute boat ride. Depending on the direction of the current either way along the winding wall is mesmerizing. Swim throughs and caves are a possibility to explore. Reaching from 3 meters to 15 meters maximum depth. TAHITI ITI DIVING, 98719 TARAVAO La Marado (★4.6) A spectacular terrain : chimneys, a peak (called Oti point), water which is almost always crystal clear. An untouched fauna and flora: gorgonians, octocoralia, anemones, sea slugs, jack fish, murena eels, napoleon fish... Mares, Janez Kranjc Three Kings (★4.7) This is where 3 dive sites merge in one spot. ’Coral Awegasm’ to ’The Pass’ to ’Garden of Eden’. Great spot for getting the best of everything in terms of topography. From garden, to wall, to caverns and archways. Great for macro. Mares Slow and Easy (★3.4) Short boat ride from the dock. Although mostly used as a training site, this site has patches of large coral with a wide array of marine life. Can drop off into the main channel. Blue Lagoon Beach Resort, Nadi Nalova pass (★4.2) 2 minutes away from Blue Lagoon Beach Resort, located in the channel between Nacula Island and Tavewa Island. Shallow reef wall, that ranges from 5 meters to 18 meters. Blue Lagoon Beach Resort, Nadi The Canyons (★4.2) This dive site is located 2-3 minutes by boat from Blue Lagoon Beach Resort. The depth ranges from a sloping shallow reef wall at 7 meters, and drops off to 20 meters with towering canyons. Scubapro Coral Wonderland (★4.6) Just a two minute boat ride west of Barefoot Manta Island Resort, coral wonderland is a gentle slope down to a sandy bottom with large pinnacles and coral bommies. Aqualung NAMOTU FISH MARKET (★4.7) Fish market is located at the Northern side of Namotu island house reef. Great dive site for beginners advanced and expert divers. Start the dive at 3 to 5 meters and make your way to max 22 meters with an average of 12 to 15 meters. Slight to moderate currents. Aqualung Coral Seafan (★4.2) Twenty Minutes from Beqa Lagoon Resort with depths from 15 to 60 feet, this is a great checkout dive location for divers of all experience levels. IATOK DIVING PARADISE, 98800 nouméa Patate VACH (★4.1) Against the reef of the Signal islet, this site is ideal for initiations and the start of open water and stress and rescue courses. The site is always protected from the wind. Mares Dolphin wall (★4.8) Five minutes to the west of Paptura lies Dolphin Wall, stretching approximately 300 meters in length. The depth ranges from 5 meters to 30 meters deep. This site experiences bi-directional currents influenced by tidal movements. This site is semi sheltered from large swell due to the angle but is exposed to wind. Dive Savusavu, Fiji, PO BOX 013 Cakaudrove Dream House (★4.6) Dream House is a seamount the size of a football field. The northern edge has a drop of from 40ft to 250ft. Currents flowing over the seamount attracts many species of pelagic and brings in nutrients which soft coral and other specie of coral feed off. Papatura Island Retreat, Ashmore G Spot (★4.8) Twenty min boat ride west of Papatura lies G spot. This site is a bommie at 5 meters down to 30+ meters. This site is exposed so experiences large swell and current. When rough it can be hard to spot so is best on a sunny day. WHITETIP MARINE ADVENTURES PTE LTD, 0000 Nadi Coral Garden Fiji (★4.8) Forty five minutes from Port Denarua. Two minutes Eastern side of Namotu Island.Mooring line is well protected and sheltered at a depth of 8meters.A shallow reef with array of hard coral species.The reef offers gentle currents but can be very strong at times. Papatura Island Retreat, Ashmore Jamie’s Jungle (★4.6) 20 minutes east of Papatura lies Jamie’s Jungle. This is a bommie at five meters down to thirty+ meters. This site is exposed to large swell if high winds occur. There is often current flowing in one direction around the bommie, while there may be none on the other side. The current depends on the swell and tide. Coral Coast Divers, 00000 Pacific Harbour THE COLOSSEUM Coral Coast Divers private shark sanctuary (★5.0) 40 minutes Southwest of Pacific Harbour. Private marine reserve shark conservation sanctuary in the world famous Beqa lagoon. Home to the largest and biggest population of Bull Sharks and Tiger Sharks in the world. Due to the site located near the deep ocean drop, visibility can reach up to 45 meters. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Purple Rain, Fiji (★4.0) This site is best dived on an outgoing current with the wall on your right, it is beautiful wall & coral head heavily covered with massive amounts of soft purple coral. It is an amazing dive and suitable for most levels of experience. Starting at just 5m/15’ and dropping down to 30m/100’, best dived 18m/60’ RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Underwater Phantasea (★4.2) A group of small bommies, on the leeward side of the main reef covered in magnificent soft and hard coral which is best dives on an outgoing tide. This site starts in 5m/15’ & drops off to the seabed at 21m/70’, best dived 12m/40’ to 15m/50’ range & suitable for most levels. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Swim Through Heaven (★4.3) As the name says there are lots of swim thoughts, this is an exciting dive, for experienced & comfortable divers, best dived on an outgoing tide. The walls & tunnels have fragile sea fans, & are adorned with amazing yellow sort coral/ Please be careful & do not touch or grab, it is a fragile site. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Tequila Sunrise (★4.4) A series of pretty coral heads connected to the main reef (Vatulaca Reef), great variety to explore, a nice easy dive, starting in 5m/15’ & dropping off to 21m75’ which is best dived on an outgoing tide around 16m/30’ - this is also a beautiful night dive site. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Hakuna Matata (★3.9) Hakuna Matata is a beautiful shallow chain of coral heads connected to the main reef. Starting at 4m/12’ & gradually sloping NE to 21m/70’ however best range is around 12m/40’ & this site can be dived at any time, & is also a great night dive. Lot’s to see & certainly a crowd favorite. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Dua Tale (★4.6) Dua Tale, meaning ONE MORE in Fijian is a series of coral heads & underwater canyons w/swim-through’s, lot’s of macro life, amazing soft & hard coral, & as the name suggests, everyone wants to do it ’one more time’, once is never enough. Papatura Island Retreat, Ashmore Grandma’s Garden (★4.5) In view of Papatura, two minute boat ride away lies a bommie reef. Grandma’s garden starts at three meters down to twenty meters. Snorkelers can tag along as the reef has lots of life in the three meter area. This site experiences bi-directional currents influenced by tidal movements and sheltered from winds. BORA OCEAN ADVENTURES, 98730 BORA BORA Tapu Canyon (★4.8) A variation on the classic Tapu dive. A beautiful dive on a shallow coral plateau with a beautiful drop-off. You’ll cross several canyons, hence the name of the dive. As the site is close to the pass, it’s possible to see tuna. RA DIVERS, 0000 Rakiraki Nemo’s Playground (★4.0) Nemo’s Playground consists of tall pinnacles towering up from 32m (100’) & encrusted with masses of hard & soft coral. Tops of the pinnacles, around 15m (50’) are covered in carpet anemone & anemone fish, hence the site name. ←1...45
