The impressive Banana Reef in the Maldives looks like a banana when viewed from above and attracts divers from near and far. The fish are not afraid of photographers and so spectacular photos can be taken. Also very suitable for snorkeling and freediving. Depth 0-30 meters.

Maava Kandu (★4.4)

The Kandu is situated Noth-West of the Island Mavaah, the channel Bottom is about 14-16 meters and drops off into the ocean. The coral life is good and abundant fish life.Grey Reef shark, Whitetip Shark, Groupers, Triggerfish etc. When the current is slight all level of divers can participate in the dive.

Kondey Kandu (★4.3)

This channel located in the north of Southern Huvadhoo Atoll is perfect for drift diving and current lovers. Depending on the direction of the current, you will either start your dive to the north of the channel or the south and just go with the flow.

Vilingili Kandu (★4.5)

This is a long channel dive site in the northeast corner of the atoll. Here you can expect strong currents as well as high seas when the weather is rough. A great spot for large fish species.

Fushi Kandu (★4.4)

Fushi Kandu is one of Laamu Atoll’s top dive sites, an exhilarating channel with vibrant currents attracting sharks, eagle rays, and incredible biodiversity. Perfect for advanced divers seeking adrenaline and pristine underwater landscapes.

Maabaidhoo Kandu (★4.4)

This dive can be started along the reef wall or in the blue depending on the current. Here the bottom off the channel and “drop off“ is at 18 meters. This dive site can have strong current.

Vadinoloo Kandu (★3.7)

This long shallow channel dive is located in the northeast of Laamu atoll. The drop off starts at around 16 meters. This dive site is only for advanced or expert divers as the currents can be very strong.

Maarehaa Kandu (★4.3)

This channel dive site, located to the east of the atoll, is a protected area where fishing has been banned. Due to this you can encounter sharks in large numbers.

Turtle Point (★4.0)

Description: Located on the SW outer reef. Usually done as a drift dive. Reef gently slopes from 5-30m. A non-spectacular top reef but an outstanding amount of sea turtles (others call it Turtle Point).

Gan Inside (★4.3)

This dive site is in the far south of the Maldivian Atolls, close to Gan Kandu. This dive site is perfect for beginners as it starts at 5 meters and slopes down to 14 meters.

British Loyalty (Wreck) (★4.2)

This 5583 ton British oil tanker actually sunk twice! Once it got recovered and repaired and after getting torpedoed the second time, it got removed and was finally towed to its final position and sunk by British gunfire on the 5th January 1946 in Addu Atoll.

Bodu Hoholha (★4.3)

Wall dive. Located in the NW of the atoll. Good to dive at all depths. The top reef at 5-8m features a beautiful coral garden. From there it drops steeply to unknown depths. The wall is full of beautiful gorgonians and covered in blue soft corals. There are also massive caves that are big enough to enter.

Kuda Hoholha (★4.6)

Located in the NW just below Bodu Hoholha below a man made channel used by local fisher men. Steep drop off from 6 to 30+++m. Nice caves and overhangs at around 25m. Some huge caves starting at 28m.

Kuda Kandu Corner (★4.4)

One of our best! Channel dive site located on the corner of Kuda Kandu. Only one small patch of rubble interrupts massive coral formations of table, mushroom, brain, cone and many other corals along a steep slope to 25m.

Kuda Kandu Outside (★4.6)

Outside reef. Located west of the Kuda Kandu channel mouth. Amazing dive site with a huge abundance of stunning hard coral gardens. The reef slopes from the top at 6m to 20m and drops of from there to the deep.
