IHI THILA

Located in the far north of the atoll, Ihi Thila is a beautiful macro haven around 55 minutes by boat from Le Méridien Maldives. The reef begins at 5–8m before dropping steeply to approximately 25m in the north.

Ihi means “lobster” in Dhivehi, and there are plenty to discover alongside pipefish, nudibranchs, soldierfish, transparent shrimp and abundant lionfish.

The dive site itself actually consists of two dive sites that are divided by a sandy plateau at 8 meters. South of the plateau we can find a large lagoon with an average depth of about 12 meters.
