Kamo Aquarium East Beach
Kamo Aquarium in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture, is famous for having the world’s largest jellyfish display. The diving area offers free parking, clean flush toilets, and calm conditions with depths of 8–12m. Its gentle environment and variety of sites make it ideal for beginners.
The seabed shifts from seaweed beds at 1–3 m, to gravel at 4–5 m, and sand beyond 5 m. Large fish are rare, but seasonal spawning, hatching, and growth can be closely observed.
