This site is one of the best dives on the island of Elba, the only area of the marine park where the presence of fish is incredibly abundant. This dive is suitable for all levels of diver.

Groupers are everywhere in all sizes. Barracudas, snappers, and smaller fish such as bream and salps are abundant. In some periods of the year there are eagle rays and sunfish.

Ile d'Elbe notre sortie annuelle

During the October vacations, we'll be diving at Isola d'Elba, as we do every year. The sea is still warm at this time of year. The www.ilcareno.com center is located in Saint Andrea on the north-western side. Depending on the weather, one or two daily trips to a marine reserve are planned. For those who don't dive, there are some great trails to do..... and pass an open over 2 days!!! The apartments/bungalows are just above the diving center and the sea is 50m away! Archetti in Giannutri offer a captivating dive among natural arches and tunnels with stunning light effects, on seabeds from 5 to 30 m. Among rocks and Posidonia live wrasses, sea bream, moray eels, groupers, lobsters, and sometimes dentex and barracuda, in an environment suitable for all divers.

Anna Bianca, Wreck (★4.0)

The wreck of the Anna Bianca, a cargo ship sunk in 1971, lies north of Cala Ischiaiola at depths between 33 and 52 m. Split into two sections, it features a well-preserved stern and a fragmented bow. With excellent visibility, it hosts moray eels, congers, lobsters, and schools of shrimp.

Le Cerniette (★4.0)

Le Cerniette takes its name from the numerous groupers that can be encountered in this particular stretch of sea. It is one of the most visited dives in the Giannutri Marine Protected Area. Seabed that slopes gently from 10 meters to 25 meters up to the edge that descends to 50 meters.

The Nasim II wreck, a cargo ship sunk in 1976 near Cala Maestra, lies at 47–60 m on a sandy bottom. Surrounded by Fiat, Peugeot, and Mercedes cars from its deck, it’s a technical dive rich in biodiversity: groupers, lobsters, wrasse, and pelagics enrich the site.

Anchoring point at about 10 meters depth, suitable site for beginners up to experts. The landing is almost always sheltered from wind and waves and therefore facilitates the operations of entry and exit of the divers from the water.

This dive is located just south of the Pianosa rock. The peculiarity is certainly a large cave that cuts through the entire shoal. Pelagic fish are plentiful.

Pianosa Boa 2 (★4.4)

In front of the historic harbor of Pianosa Island is Buoy 2, which indicates the mooring point for visiting these submerged rocks that stand out amidst the posidonia giving breathtaking scenery.

Probably the best dive site on the island of Pianosa, a shoal rich in life with a pinnacle reaching 3 meters from the surface.

Recommended diving depth of 20-40m, the dive site is suitable for experienced divers also because of strong current. However, the diveable shallow starts at 12m and develops into several solitary boulders.

Scoglio del Remaiolo (★4.3)

Outcropping rock, southward part forms a ridge that sinks to about 50 meters. Northward dive suitable for Open Water Diver hikers.

Shoal off the Gemini Islands. Maximum depth is about 25m. There is a small grotto at 8m and a canyon at 10-12m to explore. The saddle shaped dive site can be circled in about 40 minutes.

Shallow dive site, ideal for beginners. Here you follow a scree edge towards the open sea. The dive site extends from the surface to a maximum depth of 14m.

In the waters below Punta Fetovaia we can find a rocky seabed full of ravines and a garden of gorgonians of incredible size! Dive open to all levels but especially to advanced divers.

Directly on Morcone beach there is a small bay that is excellent for the novice diver to learn about the underwater world of Elba. From the beach you can easily walk into the water to start your dive there. The depth ranges from 2 meters to 10 meters. Great for beginners!

The shoal is about a hundred meters from Fonza beach. Its cap is at - 4 m, and the east-facing wall plummets to the bottom on the sand at - 40 m.
