Using online learning, confined basin and open water dives, the SSI Scuba Diver course is a perfect foundation for becoming a safe and reliable diver. You'll learn everything you need to dive in open water to a depth of 12 meters with an SSI Professional. With this program, you will complete almost half of the training for Open Water Diver certification and can easily upgrade to this level. You only need to complete the remaining academic and bounded basin sessions, plus two open water training dives.

Beginner Course

During the October vacations, we'll be diving at Isola d'Elba, as we do every year. The sea is still warm at this time of year. The www.ilcareno.com center is located in Saint Andrea on the north-western side. Depending on the weather, one or two daily trips to a marine reserve are planned. For those who don't dive, there are some great trails to do..... and pass an open over 2 days!!! The apartments/bungalows are just above the diving center and the sea is 50m away! Dry suit diving also keeps you warm on days with multiple dives, when you don't want to spend your time getting in and out of a cold suit. The Specialty SSI Dry Suit Diving course is the best way to become a dry suit diver and teaches you all the knowledge and techniques you need to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit. You'll learn how to use specialized equipment, such as dry suits and jackets, be aware of the benefits of this equipment, and how to deal with emergencies, which are particular to this type of diving. Upon completion, you will earn the SSI Dry Suit Diving specialty certification.

Take an Enriched Air Nitrox Specialty course if you want to shorten your surface intervals and extend your dive time. You'll spend more time exploring your favorite dive sites instead of waiting! With the course you will expand your diving knowledge to plan safe dives with enriched air mixtures up to 40% oxygen. After completing the course, you will receive an SSI Enriched Air Nitrox certification for 32% or 40%.

The program is developed and intended for the use of trimix as a breathing gas to reduce narcosis from inert gas, and increase diver safety. An air option is available for those areas where helium is inaccessible. You will learn techniques and procedures for using trimix breathing gases and nitrox mixtures up to 100 percent oxygen, for accelerated decompression.

The Divemaster course is the first step in an exciting journey. Gain the respect of your fellow divers and become an ambassador for diving by taking the Divemaster course.
