Chub Hole (★4.4)

Southeast of the pin, the miniwall features a maze of tunnels, canyons, and archways. Northward, the reef opens with large overhangs and towering coral fingers.

Black Rock Reef (★4.5)

Black Rock Reef features sandy channels, coral gardens, shallow hardpan, and freestanding coral heads with narrow passages. Ridges and a massive barrel sponge mark the vibrant site.

Anchor Point (★4.4)

20 min boat ride from Compass Point Dive Resort. Mooring ball situated on the wall with a pin depth of 58 ft / 17 m. Mild to moderate current is often observed at this dive site. It is accessible via a shore entry but local knowledge is advised.

Sunset Reef (★4.3)

Five minute drive from the Compass Point Dock. A shallow reef system within the natural lagoon with protection from the prevalent swell from the barrier reef. A oasis of coral heads with an old Spanish anchor resting in the sand patch. The reef starts at a depth of 22 feet / 7 metres and travels up to 6 feet / 2 m

Three Sisters Cayman (★4.4)

Three Sisters, located off Grand Cayman’s East End, features three towering coral pinnacles named Agatha, Bertha, and Cleo. An open-topped canyon near the mooring pin provides a direct navigation path to the first formation, with the third pinnacle notably leaning at a depth of 70 feet.

River of Sands (★4.3)

River of Sands features a flat sandy bottom that drops at a 45-degree angle, flowing through narrow channels toward a main drop-off at 50 feet. This sheltered site is protected from strong currents and includes a network of overhangs, ledges, and narrow swim-throughs.

Playing Field (★4.4)

Playing Fields is a reef site located five minutes from the dock with depths from 25–65 feet. Three freestanding coral heads create a figure-eight navigation route. The site features a rubble bottom, a swim-through between primary formations, and active coral out-planting zones.

Pat’s Wall (★4.6)

Pat’s Wall is a deep East End wall dive named for Patricia Schaar. Located five minutes from the dock, it features a 60–100 foot depth range. The site is defined by towering coral spurs, steep-walled canyons, and a narrow swim-through running parallel to the drop-off.

Lighthouse Wall (★4.4)

Named after the nearby East End lighthouse, this wall dive features jagged rocky points and sandy channels that plunge from 50 feet into the abyss. The site is characterized by razor-thin formations and a deep wall section containing an old, encrusted rope suspended over the drop-off.

The Maze (★4.5)

Located five minutes from the dock, The Maze sits at 40–45 feet atop the wall. The site is characterized by a complex network of narrow canyons, buttresses, and pinnacles. A shallow sand bowl near the mooring pin allows for extended bottom time and easy navigation back to the boat.

Old Issac’s (★4.5)

Named after a 1662 settlement, this site features a ledge dropping from 25 to 50 feet near Compass Point. The layout includes a rubble bottom and a line of coral heads at 60 feet, alongside a dedicated coral nursery with 30-foot PVC out-planting structures.

Snapper Hole (★4.7)

Snapper Hole is a complex network of swim-throughs, tunnels, and caverns on the East End. Notable features include a cavern filmed for a BBC documentary, a massive 1872 Spanish-style anchor leaning against a coral head, and a mushroom-shaped formation known as Papa Smurf’s House.

Little Bluff Reef (★4.2)

Named after Little Bluff Bay, this site features shallow coral meadows ranging from 20 to 40 feet. It is characterized by low-relief coral fingers and rock spines that run north-south, acting as natural navigational aids. The area is known for its calm conditions and minimal current.

Split Rock (★4.4)

Split Rock is a wall dive defined by a narrow, carved canyon that divides the reef. The site features a ledge and multiple headlands to the west, all characterized by prolific black coral growth. Numerous tunnels and swim-throughs weave through the reef wall, accessible via a split descent.

High Rock Dropoff (★4.3)

Named for its towering cliffs, High Rock Drop-Off features sheer drop-offs starting at 45 feet. A large pinnacle sits on the eastern edge at 60 feet. The site stretches along the wall toward the next dive site, with shallow reef at 45 feet and safety stops at 15 feet.

Jack McKenny’s Canyons (★4.7)

Named after filmmaker Jack McKenney, this East End classic features a sandy arena at 72 feet surrounded by rocky slopes. A canyon at the western edge leads to a 95-foot swim-through (guide-led navigation). The wall sits at 55 feet. Two chimneys drop through the canyon floor.

Fish Tank (★4.5)

This miniwall is a bustling marine hub resembling an underwater city. A towering 8-10 foot Pillar Coral stands at 30 feet—an ancient, delicate structure. The miniwall sits at 30 feet with shallow hardpan at 25 feet. Divers explore the Pillar Coral area before returning to the pin.

Delwin’s Delight (★4.4)

Named after retired Divemaster and Boat Captain Delwin, who installed mooring balls across the islands. The site features rolling spur and groove coral formations. The mini wall tops at 30 feet, edges at 55 feet, with sand areas at 65 feet. Divers traverse a square pattern around the reef structure.

Grouper Grotto (★4.7)

Located on Grand Cayman’s southeast corner, Grouper Grotto is a protected Grouper spawning zone. The reef starts at 20 feet with steep passages and low-ceilinged tunnels. Divers zigzag through swim-throughs and canyons toward deeper sandy areas at 60 feet. Advanced divers can try the tight Rabbit Hole swim-thru

Kathleen’s Reef (★4.3)

Kathleen’s Reef lies beyond the barrier reef off Barefoot Beach, featuring spur and groove formations with a miniwall at 35 feet and sand at 65 feet. Diverse sponges and feather plumes create a classic north-side landscape. Predictable lagoon outflow affects visibility. Divers navigate a square pattern.

Kangaroo Gorge (★4.3)

Kangaroo Gorge is named after an Australian divemaster who favored the site in the 1980s. It features a large, open gorge swim-through from 65 feet to 120 feet, or divers can stay shallower above at 100 feet. The site traverses along the wall with predictable currents that enhance visibility.

Lost Valley (★4.3)

Lost Valley, a High Rock wall site, features pinnacles and deeper walls with currents, best explored via drift diving, showcasing rarely visited sections between sites.

Dumbo’s Drop-Off (★4.6)

Dumbo, an elephant sculpture, marks this site on a small ledge at 85 feet. The pin sits at 65 feet where a sloped miniwall descends from 55 feet. The main wall drops from 65 to 85 feet, offering multiple ledges. Divers traverse to Dumbo and return. Current can pick up; check conditions.

Tarpon Terrace (★3.3)

Tarpon Terrace features a tall, narrow passage with rocky walls and giant freestanding coral heads on a sandy bottom, including a swim-through for added exploration.
