Yokohishi
Yokohishi, located in Uruma City, Okinawa, is the site where you can see the largest common shikoro coral (commonly known as mussel coral) on the main island of Okinawa. It is much smaller than it used to be, but it is still worth seeing. Following the sandy passage there, you will find a series of two roots with huge isobana, which is really photogenic. The maximum depth is around 22 meters. The current can be quite strong during high tide.
At Yokohishi, you can observe a wide range of marine life, including a variety of fish, crustaceans, mollusks, and sea turtles, as well as bears, angler anglerfish, frilled shrimps, Monoceros, and nudibranchs, all based on one of the largest colonies of common and blue corals in the world.
