Dry suit diving also lets you stay warm on repeated dive days, when you don't want to spend your time getting in and out of a cold wet suit. The Dry Suit Diving SSI specialty program is the best way to become a drysuit diver, and teaches you all the knowledge and techniques you need to dive safely and comfortably in a drysuit. You'll learn how to use this specific piece of equipment, made up of a drysuit and a diving jacket, what its advantages are and how to deal with emergency situations, which are specific to this type of diving. The Assistant Instructor certification is the next step after the Divemaster in the diving instructor's career. If you wish to pursue your career as a diving professional, you can complete the Instructor Training Course, pass the Instructor Assessment and become an Open Water Diving Instructor.

The Instructor Evaluation (IE) is the final step of SSI’s 2-Step Instructor Training Approach Divemasters or equivalent-level professionals will have to successfully complete the Instructor Training Course (ITC) first where you’ll learn how to: • Conduct academic sessions • Lead confined water training • Teach Open Water Diver and various Specialty programs like Enriched Air Nitrox, Diver Stress&Rescue, Perfect Buoyancy and more • Develop student management and communication skills Already an experienced instructor with another agency? You may be eligible for shortened oboarding options where you will only have to complete certain parts of the Instructor Training Course (ITC) followed by passing an Instructor Evaluation (IE).
