The SSI Deep Diving specialization will teach you everything you need to know to dive in the 18-40 meter range through a combination of theory classes and open water dives. You will learn how to plan and safely fulfill your deep diving dreams. You'll learn how to use your dive computer effectively and learn the calculations involved in gas consumption to enjoy deep dives to the fullest. Upon completion of the SSI Deep Diving Specialization, you will be certified and will be able to explore beautiful deep dive sites around the world. In this specialization, you will gain the advanced skills and knowledge needed to navigate underwater safely and confidently. You'll learn how to use a diving compass, natural navigation techniques, estimating distance, how to swim away and return to a designated spot, and basic navigation patterns. You will also learn how to combine navigation techniques to enhance your enjoyment of your diving experience. This will improve your ability to observe effectively underwater, increase the safety of your dives and allow you to fully enjoy your dives. As you know, every Diver with a disability needs a companion, a guardian so-called Dive Buddy, who will participate in his diving activities. His task will be all assistance and service on the surface, living in the hotel, helping with daily activities, selecting equipment, etc. Dive Buddy can become any diver with OWD qualification of any organization and seniority of min. 20 dives including 10 with people with disabilities. It can be a family member, spouse, friend or any other person who wants to dive with a diver with a disability. Ideally, the Dive Buddy is the person closest to you, who knows your habits and routines and spends the most time with the person with a disability. We implement Dive Buddy courses in two options: SSI's OWD basic course, concurrent with an HSA Dive Buddy course for a family member or loved one, or a Dive Buddy course for a certified diver with an OWD degree, or equivalent degree from another organization.
