If you're not sure about your next course, this is the ideal way to improve your diving skills and experience, and to try out Specialty programs that interest you. At the end of this program, you'll be awarded the Advanced Open Water Diver SSI certification. Prerequisites: Open Water Diver (or equivalent level), minimum age 12 years. The course is divided into 2 parts: - a theoretical part, with reading of your online manual and review of your knowledge - an open water part, with 5 dives where we will apply a number of exercises to deepen your skills.

The Assistant Instructor rating is the next step after becoming a Divemaster along the scuba instructor pathway. It allows you to collect valuable teaching experience, practice briefings, teach academics, and conduct in-water training. If you want to further your career as a dive professional, you can finish the Instructor Training Course, pass the Instructor Evaluation, and become an Open Water Diving Instructor.

This is the first step towards an exciting career as an SSI Dive Professional without having to complete a full Instructor program. Dive Guides can work for SSI Dive Centers, guiding dives in a variety of environments and conditions. On completion of this program, you will be awarded SSI Dive Guide certification. Prerequisites: 18 years of age, active dive guide status, science of diving, 60 logged dives.

Assistant Instructor Trainers prepare Assistant Instructors to teach academics and conduct in-water training. As an Assistant Instructor Trainer, you are also qualified to assist Instructor Trainers, giving you valuable experience along your scuba diving instructor pathway. When ready, you can finish the Instructor Training Seminar, allowing you to become an SSI Instructor Trainer. Start your journey to create scuba diving instructors today.

Becoming an SSI Specialty Instructor is easy. Continue your diver training as an instructor by enrolling in a Specialty Instructor Seminar for each diving specialty you wish to teach. You can also co-teach the specialty you're interested in with an experienced Specialty Instructor, or request verification of your experience and send it directly to SSI. Teach more specialties to automatically qualify as an Advanced Open Water Instructor.
