The SSI Open Water Diver is the certification course that allows you to explore the underwater world independently and safely, to a maximum depth of 18 metres.
During the course, you will learn the essential knowledge and skills needed for scuba diving, from setting up and using your equipment to buoyancy control, finning techniques, underwater communication and safety procedures.
The programme combines theory training, pool or confined-water sessions and several open-water dives, where you will put everything you have learned into practice under the supervision of an SSI Professional.
Once you successfully complete the course, you will receive your SSI Open Water Diver certification, which is internationally recognised and allows you to continue exploring and progressing with your diving education.
No previous diving experience is required to take this course. You simply need to be at least 10 years old and meet the relevant medical requirements.
