Skill Update Program for Certified Divers: Putting your safety first It's a simple but undeniable fact: in an emergency, you can only master what you practice and use regularly. For divers, this can become a serious problem, as many skills learned in the Open Water Diver (OWD) or Stress and Rescue (S&R) course are often not practiced after completing these courses. Ask yourself the following question: When was the last time you practiced an emergency ascent? Your answer is most likely: on the OWD or S&R course. We want to offer an update/refresher before the start of the new summer season, which is aimed at experienced divers to refresh various essential skills. Our program includes: 1. basic skills review: We will review all relevant skills from the OWD and S&R course to ensure that you have mastered the basic diving techniques and are able to operate safely underwater. For example: all emergency ascents, rescuing unconscious divers, diving without a mask or changing masks... 2. additional skills according to DAN statistics: The DAN statistics list certain factors and diving skills that are consistently involved in injuries and fatalities. We have integrated the most common factors as additional skills to ensure that you can dive safely underwater. Prerequisites for participation: You should have successfully completed the OWD and S&R course in order to participate in our skill update program. If you have not yet completed the S&R course but would still like to refresh your skills, please do not hesitate to contact us. If the demand is high enough, we will set up a separate course. A particularly rare relic of the Russian occupation awaits you in the Schwerin Outer Lake. The wreckage of a suspected MIG-17 was long considered a legend before it was finally found in 2013. In this fascinating course you will learn all the skills you need to safely and confidently conduct search and recovery dives. You will learn how to use search patterns, special dive plans and underwater communication skills and practice using special equipment such as lift bags, lines and reels. By developing your search techniques and practicing search procedures in a dive team, you will become a confident search and rescue diver during this course. Upon completion of the course, you will receive the SSI Search & Recovery Specialty certification.

The SSI Basic Diver course teaches you the skills and knowledge to dive with an SSI Professional to a depth of 12 meters.
