Becoming an SSI Open Water Diver is the best way to start your diving adventure! We will familiarize you with the skills and equipment. Getting started is easy! Register for the Open Water course and get your feet wet with the SSI Scuba Diver program.SSI training is designed so that you complete the theory at your own pace and when it suits you. We support you with color manuals, DVDs and the offer of free online training, so you have plenty of training opportunities.For your practical training in the pool and in the open water, an instructor will be at your side to show you how to use the diving equipment and practice with you until you feel comfortable. You will be given enough time to get used to the underwater world before completing your open water dives, and once you have successfully completed your training, you will receive your globally recognized SSI Open Water Diver certification. Countless possibilities are now open to you! Short on time? Get your Scuba Diver certification during your vacation and upgrade your Open Water Diver qualification at home with little effort.The Scuba Diver is perfect for those who don't have enough time to complete a full Open Water Diver program in one place. This program is roughly equivalent to the first half of the Open Water Diver program and you can then complete the second step to Open Water Diver at any time and in any location, allowing you to experience diving to the fullest. You will be trained in the right skills, knowledge, equipment and experience to make you feel safe and comfortable underwater. You will also be accompanied by an SSI Instructor on your underwater adventures.

This year we would like to organize our traditional Christmas Dive at the base in Raben Steinfeld. The fire will be lit from 10 am. At 11.30 a.m. we will all go into the water together with Santa Claus. We have prepared a heated changing room for those of you who are brave enough to go into the water wet, and of course there will be a Christmas tree and Buggi's popular layered cabbage again this year!!! All of us from the D.I.V.E. team are looking forward to welcoming divers and non-divers!

We want to celebrate with you and want to see you again at our base before the long winter. We therefore invite you to the big BREVETPARTY on 04.11.2023 from 4 p.m. In addition to good conversations among friends, we will also take care of your physical well-being. Divers Night is an annual event where divers from all over the world go into the water at the same time (local time). The event takes place on the first Saturday in November from 18:00. This year we will go into the water together at 8.25 p.m. Divers Night is a non-profit event. The aim of the events is to bring together as many divers, clubs and bases from all over the country as possible for a nice get-together. Food and drink can be purchased for a small fee. This enabled us to donate € 500,-- to the children's hospice in Schwerin in 2022 and another € 500,-- to the Bernstorf Castle Hospice in 2023 and € 702,-- to the Herzkissen association in 2024. With this program you will become a successful SSI Instructor: it provides you with the necessary skills, teaching concepts and practical experience. You will learn all about our innovative digital learning system and our training philosophy. You will learn how to support other instructors in running programs and learn how to teach a variety of SSI programs independently. All candidates who complete this program receive SSI Assistant Instructor status. You can also work your way up to SSI Open Water Instructor after successfully completing the program.

The Instructor Training Course (ITC) will expand your sales and industry knowledge and improve your training skills. You will be trained in professional presentation and sales techniques through workshops and practical applications. It is your chance to learn how to offer divers a special experience: "The Ultimate Dive Experience".During the Instructor Training Course, candidates experience a program that has proven itself over decades. It scores points for quality and challenges. The program is constantly being developed so that it always meets the current requirements of the industry. It ensures that SSI Dive Professionals are equipped with the right skills and the necessary knowledge.Open Water Instructor (OWI)After successfully completing the Dive Control Specialist course, you can attend the Instructor Training course. Together with a successful Instructor Evaluation you will become an Open Water Instructor. You can now train and certify Open Water Divers and Advanced Open Water Divers, among others.

A particularly rare relic of the Russian occupation awaits you in the Schwerin Outer Lake. The wreckage of a suspected MIG-17 was long considered a legend before it was finally found in 2013. Due to its exposed location in the northern part of Lake Schwerin, you will need to allow a little more time for this trip. However, you will be rewarded with an unforgettable dive at a special technical monument. The MIG crashed in 1954. Today, the aluminum hull is stuck like a dart in the 17-meter-deep bottom. The wreck is completely colonized by small shells. Nevertheless, details such as the tail unit and the remains of pipes and instruments are clearly visible. One wing is still connected to the fuselage and protrudes like a metal wall half submerged in the silt. The other wing lies a few meters from the wreck and still shows the clearly visible red Russian star. Cargo glider - a historic wreck in top condition Do you already know our most beautiful wreck? In just a few minutes by boat, we will take you to the wreck of a historic cargo sailing ship off the island of Ziegelwerder. The almost 27-metre-long ship lies at a maximum depth of 18 meters on an even keel - and promises first-class wreck diving.

As a dry suit diver you can dive warm and comfortable in cold waters all year round. Only dry suit diving opens you up to the special underwater landscapes of cold water, such as dives on the icebergs in the remote Arctic or fascinating places teeming with life despite the cold. Dry suits are also great if you dive several times a day. Instead of struggling to get out of the cold, wet wetsuit each time, the dry suit diver simply leaves his suit on. The best way to dry suit dive is the SSI Dry Suit Diver Specialty program. Here you will gain the necessary knowledge and learn all the skills to dive safely and comfortably in a dry suit. This includes how to use the special equipment and how to deal with difficult situations and problems with the dry suit. At the end of the course you will receive the SSI Dry Suit Diving Specialty certification.

The SSI Science of Diving Specialty program provides you with a comprehensive understanding of the underwater world and its effects on the human body. The program is the foundation for most SSI Professional programs as well as some Extended Range programs and is an essential part of deepening your diving knowledge. You can complete your SSI Science of Diving Specialty certification online from the comfort of your own home. Upon completion of the course, you will be halfway to the coveted SSI Divemaster rating and receive your Science Of Diving certification.

The SSI Decompression Diving Specialty shows you how to dive beyond the no-decompression limits. You will learn to plan and conduct dives to a maximum depth of 40 meters with limited decompression using your recreational diving system and a single decompression tank. You will learn and practice how to effectively use the functions of your dive computer, such as gas change or gas integration, as well as the remaining air time and ascent time. Using these computer features will quickly become second nature to you, allowing you to perform safe dives with limited decompression without hours of dive planning. After completing the course, you will receive the SSI Decompression Diving Specialty certification and will be able to explore breathtaking deep dive sites or large wrecks without the limitations of no-decompression limits.
